The Dolar Shop

This is my favorite hotpot restaurant in Sydney. The service is really friendly and the food is fresh and well presented. The soup base is good, I love their ox tail and tomato and truffle mushroom soup base, also like the idea of one pot per person, make you feel more comfortable. Ordering is very easy and food come quickly. Also you could park your car free after 6pm, that make the place perfect. Highly recommended this if you love hotpot.

Have you ever seen anything so beautiful? The A5 Miyakazi Wagyu beef.. one of the most exquisite meats in the world. It was definitely worth the expensive price tag. This place serves up some of the finest and freshest meats for hot pot. Just look at the colour and detail in these cuts. My second hot pot experience however, this will be a place I’ll never forget and will be back at very soon!

The Dolar Shop is definitely one of the nicest and probably priciest hotpots in the CBD area. Everything from the decor to the ambience give off a quality experience and vibe. We ordered a variety of meat and veggie dishes, all prepared nicely. I liked that they had a large sauce station and plenty of snacks to refill such as the watermelon and black fungus. I would recommend the prawn pate and any of the beef options. The vanilla and matcha ice cream was also a great way to finish off the meal! The staff were attentive and tried their best to offer a good dining experience which was appreciated. Definitely worth a try for a special occasion.

Basically, like Malatang but boujee-er; And everyone gets their own bowl! You can even go half and half with the soup base. It is steam-boat in a sense where you order additions and you cook it from your own soup. They have a great variety of vegetables, meat (pork, lamb, beef + wagyu) and seafood; some of which is live. Parking can be a hassle but the effort is worth while. Service and atmosphere is pretty good. Dessert is free soft serve served in a cone.

The waiter was very nice, and introduced himself and told us about what their unique items are. Reception was good too, rarely do waiters in these kinds of restaurant are this attentive. It was not too busy when I dined. Help yourself to whatever dipping sauce you want for hotpot. Pricing is a bit up there but I think it's worth it once in a while. Their Golden Soup broth is my favourite. EDIT: Forgot to add that with certain orders the staff helps you with. Like the Prawn Patte? If I got the spelling of that right.

This was our first hot pot experience and won’t be our last. The service was very prompt, helpful and friendly. Our waitress was very understanding and assisted us through the process of ordering …. The Dolar Shop was very busy and the food came out very fast. We were thoroughly impressed. Meat and vege were all fresh and tasty!

Company party. We booked a room with 8ppl minimum spend $880. Very nice service, always attentive. Self service sauces, better choices than Haidilao. Beef is very tender, love the crispy fish skin and durian pancakes. Recommended for group of friends and family. Kids friendly.

Price on the higher end however quality of food and service justify the price! Great ambiance! Friendly service and free ice cream and refreshments!!! Honest with queue time and 👍

First time visiting The Dolar Shop, from reserving a spot to finishing up our meal the customer service was great. Definitely give the meat platter and vegetable basket a try, I really enjoyed the homemade noodles as well. If I had to give any feedback for improvement...it'd be to offer cutlery suitable for children that is 2 to 4 years old. Fiest time our kid ate vegetables without complaining or resistance, the hotpot satisfied our fussy eater and the staff was really good to her. She even mentions that she can't wait to visit her new friends soon. The ordering app is a bit difficult to use at first but the waitress was able to help navigate the menu quickly. (It was hard to tell if what I was ordering was spicy or not spicy.) Will definitely be back! We really enjoyed ourselves.
