The Butcher's Block

Good food but something has to be done about the smokers outside the doors ruining our dining experience when smoke is going into your mouth when eating.

We were greeted warmly by the folks at Butcher Block. Taken to our seats and offered water. Then the food!!! Absolutely amazing. We shared the BBQ prawns with the side fried bread that it came with. I must say those were the best prawns I have ever had. It’s not an exaggeration. Then our mains, my partner had the soft shell crab burger and I had the Wagyu Sirloin. Deserts that followed were equally amazing. We tried the Valentine special desert and it took my partner’s breath away. I also want to thank the Canadian bloke who took care of us. It was his recommendation that we should try the prawns and the dessert. Definitely going back to this wonderful place. Great for couples and big groups.

This restaurant truly surpassed my expectations for a suburban restaurant. The staff were friendly and accommodating and made us feel very welcome from the beginning. We went in a group and shared a few of the dishes, a stand out was the gnocchi and the Tomahawk steak. Presentation and taste of the food was simply amazing. Would definitely recommend and return!

I cannot fault this restaurant. The decor, the lighting, the staff, the service, the food and the coffee are all amazing. You will not be disappointed in the least.

best Wagyu steak

I am not a fussy customer. Not at all. But it doesn’t mean I don’t get value against my money. My wife’s steak was undercooked. It looked like a roadkill and I swear I could hear Moo’ing from the meat. Please take that as a constructive criticism to always check up on customers. However, I want to mention the waiter who didn’t take our order listened to us airing our complains with patience. He stood there and just listened. I really appreciate it. I could see he wanted to invest in our complains. He will go places because he understands people. Also big thanks to the manager for getting us desserts. It was my wife’s birthday as well so kudos!
