Authentic thai and excellent ambience and great customer service.

First time we came in here and we tried a few different dishes like always. And yet, once all the food one by one came in our table and we tried one by one of it and a million percent definitely we will come in back. We're another happy customer. Keep up the good work guys.👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏

Best Thai in Sydney! Order takeaways from here every few weeks. Staff are very friendly, they remember my name and order. My takeaways are always ready quickly within 10-15 minutes and it’s always delicious. Meat is nice and tender and veges are super fresh and tasty. I’m gluten/wheat intolerant and their gluten free menu is amazing, heaps of options and never had any issues. They make ordering gluten free meals super easy and incredibly tasty. Highly recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed.

Its a crazy busy Friday night in newton, no surpise there. We had no chance to make a booking as a cousin made a surprise visit. We headed to Newton and knew without a booking we could be in quite a wait...but no they had us seated in no time. Fantastic food and incredible service. Food was great. Lamb in one dish was a little tough for the style of the dish but the sauce was amazing. We could taste why the sauce for this dish has been award winning. Loved the set up they have for all the attending birthday dinner groups and how they actually sing happy birthday and photos. Great atmosphere, really forward to attending again.

No wonder Thai Pothong has such fantastic reviews. This place was great from start to finish. The food was flawless, the staff were so welcoming and thoughtful. My son decided he didn't like the peanut sauce (even though it was delicious) so they brought him out a skewer without any sauce on it - just for him. It was my birthday and they made it so special. They gave me a complimentary ice cream and gift at the end of our night. Talk about going over and above! Even though I haven't said as much about the food as the service, the food was an absolute stand out. So tasty and nothing was left over! 5 stars for sure.

Great ambience. Amazing staff. Great place for vegetarian and vegan people.

All meals were cold and rushed. We have eaten there before and today the food could not compare. The food was really not nice - some was almost inedible, no flavour, greasy. Others were not completed (compared to previous times) and overcooked - calamary and prawn. Very disappointed. But the cherry on the cake was when we we charged $14 for 2 very small scoops of ice cream ($3 each on the menu). Despite our reservation, we needed to wait to be seated although there were quite a few free tables. Will not go there again.

Good menu with separate gluten free one. Staff were efficient and food was nice. Much better Thai food & dining experiences to be had in smaller, more personal establishments.
