Make a reservation. Decent food, kinda overrated though. Tables are somewhat small and with a couple of dishes ordered, it's a struggle to find any space on the table. Staff were great though and menu is quite extensive as well as for beverages. Best parking option is the secure parking near the Newtown train station.

Its a crazy busy Friday night in newton, no surpise there. We had no chance to make a booking as a cousin made a surprise visit. We headed to Newton and knew without a booking we could be in quite a wait...but no they had us seated in no time. Fantastic food and incredible service. Food was great. Lamb in one dish was a little tough for the style of the dish but the sauce was amazing. We could taste why the sauce for this dish has been award winning. Loved the set up they have for all the attending birthday dinner groups and how they actually sing happy birthday and photos. Great atmosphere, really forward to attending again.

Best Thai in Sydney! Order takeaways from here every few weeks. Staff are very friendly, they remember my name and order. My takeaways are always ready quickly within 10-15 minutes and it’s always delicious. Meat is nice and tender and veges are super fresh and tasty. I’m gluten/wheat intolerant and their gluten free menu is amazing, heaps of options and never had any issues. They make ordering gluten free meals super easy and incredibly tasty. Highly recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed.

No wonder Thai Pothong has such fantastic reviews. This place was great from start to finish. The food was flawless, the staff were so welcoming and thoughtful. My son decided he didn't like the peanut sauce (even though it was delicious) so they brought him out a skewer without any sauce on it - just for him. It was my birthday and they made it so special. They gave me a complimentary ice cream and gift at the end of our night. Talk about going over and above! Even though I haven't said as much about the food as the service, the food was an absolute stand out. So tasty and nothing was left over! 5 stars for sure.

Reasonable price and well service Thai restaurant! Me and my partner Gina went there had a two people lunch! Didn’t wait, and Thai milk tea is always my jam! My partner said watermelon juice is sooooo good ! recommended!

First time we came in here and we tried a few different dishes like always. And yet, once all the food one by one came in our table and we tried one by one of it and a million percent definitely we will come in back. We're another happy customer. Keep up the good work guys.👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏

Wonderful service and great tasting food, you cannot ask for more

This place is huge. Fast and efficient service. Great atmosphere. The mixed BBQ plate was awesome. Wish I could take some of the dipping sauce home. The large Tom yum prawn soup was much smaller than I expected. Especially given the price.

Service and food always at top level. Nick, Peter and the team are always attentive and make sure you are well looked after whether it's an intimate dinner for 2 or a group booking. Can't speak highly enough of this place. Best Thai around. Favourite restaurant!

Brilliant brilliant food. Really. No kidding. Every item tasted different. The portion sizes are smaller than what you'll get at a fast food, but perfect for 2 or three people to share and try. I'd give these guys 2 thumbs up. Quality food and reasonably priced.
