Taverna Greek Psistaria

Great food and huge serves. It pained me that I was unable to finish the lamb shoulder. The wine selection was a decent size and great quality. I'd like to see some better beer but you can't have everything. The service was efficient and friendly. Great recommendations for both food and wine. We live nearby and will be back regularly. Cheers!

So I've been trying convince my other half to visit this place for months and finally we did. Yum! This place did not disappoint. With very high expectations my partner was so pleasantly surprised. All the food was consistently delicious. The way it was cooked was with pure love and respect for the ingredients. The octopus so tender and matched perfectly with the pickled veg for a light starter. The dishes that blew us away, were the barramundi on a cheesy risotto and the lamb shoulder. This beast barramundi beautiful big serving the fish so tender and juicy, but with the crispy, salty skin, the tender delicate fish matched so perctly with a creamy decadent risotto. And the lamb shoulder...this was the reason we visited the Taverna. Cooked over charcoal it is still tender and juicy and rich fatty flavours again paired to perfection with the lemon potatoes. All topped off with some coffee patron, some traditional Greek coffee and the impeccable service from father and son duo Stav and Jacob. It was a fabulous surprise as I had never heard of this restaurant and only discovered it via a Google search. The food, the friendly service, and the variety of food were first class. We will definitely return again soon. PS: The size of the meals is definitely designed for sharing.

Delicious Greek food with a great choice of meals. All cooked beautifully with great flavours and cooked to perfection.

We had a family gathering here. It was a busy night so understandably the food did take awhile to come out. It took 3-4 hours for the final dish to come out. We had a set menu. It was quite a lot to rate by. Overall a 7.8 for the food on the set menu. Customer service is great. Location is easy to find. Plenty of car parking. It is worth trying.
