Tattersalls Hotel Armidale

Went to the restaurant for my birthday. The food was amazing! The service was great .The mocktail was beautiful. The cake was stupendous!Thank you Tatts for a fantastic evening.

We wanted to like the restaurant as decor is beautiful & service is upbeat & friendly. The menu looked impressive - with a good variety plus extra specials. Pricing is on the high side as expected in a fine dining establishment. Sadly none of the dishes lived up to the fancy descriptions although some dishes were beautifully plated. The kingfish cerviche was at best a smoked fish - no zest or tanginess. The foire gras pate was most definitely not a pate nor was there a taste of any foire gras. At best - it was dry terrine of unknown meat as we couldn’t taste any duck. The hot entree of octopus was powdery & probably of frozen variety - beautifully plated but disappointing in taste. The scampi (special) was good - tasted fresh. Mains of steak & beef cheeks were satisfactory but nothing outstanding. The description of the dishes were way off in terms of what we ate - and we were overall disappointed with our meal. Acceptable perhaps as pub grub but this was not a fine dining experience. However the service was warm & friendly.

Fantastic renovations, great food and outstanding service!

Absolutely fantastic. We attended a wedding here and the staff couldn't have been more helpful, the food was world class and the decor is excellent throughout. The housekeeping staff keep the whole place immaculate.

The building is closed for renovations at the moment but the goss is a five star pub is going to appear. For Armidale?

Best stay in Armidale handsdown!

Amazing food. Decor is super fancy, definitely worth a look. Staff are great too!
