Beautiful hotel. A real experience. I love the laneway leading to the hotel entrance - feels like in the middle of Europe. Everything exquisitely restored. The only tiny drawback is that the windows are frosted and you can't open them, but apart from that, the most wonderful Australian country town hotel you can imagine. I love staying there every time. The restaurant is great as well. Five star gourmet fine dining. We loved the cauliflower soup and the mussels most.

A beautifully restored and renovated hotel. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The cleanliness of the whole hotel was excellent. I recommend dining at the restaurant downstairs, the food was great (we had steak) and the service was fantastic.

We stayed in the hotel overnight whilst travelling from Coolangatta to Sydney and were not disappointed with our choice. What a great hotel beautifully refurbished in Art Deco style. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bed was amazing, we didn't want to get out of it the following morning. Everywhere we went the staff were friendly and helpful without being over the top. There is a lounge on the first floor that is very comfortable. Ideal place to relax with a a glass of wine. We booked to have dinner at the restaurant and the food was excellent. A little confusion over the bill but it was resolved straight away. Had breakfast in the Restaurant the following morning and a word of warning, the Big breakfast is huge. Very nice though.

John, I don’t know if you remember me, I stayed with you last week with my wife and two daughters. One was having her 21st. I wanted you and your staff to know that I have travelled the world for the last 20 years on oil rigs and stayed at some of the best Establishments possible. And I can’t remember the last time I felt so relaxed, so welcome. Everyone from the lovely ladies at reception, to the smiling service from ash at dinner. Your staff are amazing. You Sir, and your fantastic staff should be praised every day for the efforts you put in and should be so proud.. The bar staff are confrontable, friendly and make you feel at home . The kitchen staff are NOTHING short of amazing, ( and as a ex- chef, this is something I do know) The meal we had was absolutely gorgeous , my hat off to the chefs, brilliant ………… Ash was lovely, made us feel comfortable and loved to chat. Thanks ash, you made our night. If I missed anyone I apologise, feel free to tell me next time I’m back, which will be soon I hope. And John, what can I say. We had a sumptuous meal in the dining room. The food was exquisite and on par with French cuisine any where. Complex delicate flavours perfectly balanced! We will be back!
