Sushi Waka

Have wanted to go this place for ever & wow, was not disappointed! Just awesome, sophisticated but so authentic in variety of dishes & the flavours. We were in a party of 4 and we tried several dishes, my recommendation is ignore the menus & pick dishes off the wall, you won’t be disappointed. Definitely do some gyoza, try any of the scallop dishes & there’s a great spinach salad. Loved the fact that they had black sesame seed ice-cream, not many Japanese restaurants do, so for that alone I give them 5stars rather than 4.5. Loved it.

Fantastic price to flavour ratio, really loved the wagu beef udon, and the pork gyōza entree was equally delicious. $8 for an Asahi is relatively middle of the road, but reasonable considering the vibe of the place. We just walked in, but apparently they prefer bookings, so worth keeping in mind.

My fave Japanese restaurant. Great menu and nicely priced . always Friendly staff and great food. We picked up a take out as the restaurant was full , I ordered the grilled mackerel , ate it at the beach and it was amazing !! Thanks Waka

Absolutely stoked with the meal from here, great value, best value sushi I have had in a while. Beautiful presentation and great taste. Would have given 6 out of 5 stars if that math was possible.

Nice food, consistent quality. Friendly staff! We usually go for sushi and various rolls, never been disappointed. The miso soup could be better (it often has lumps in it) but other than that, highly recommend. PS the place is quite small, book ahead if you want to eat in.

Pretty solid and straightforward fare. You'll need a booking, it's always busy.

My all time favourite restaurant in Manly. Always the best and friendliest service, and Japanese food doesn't get better!
