I always enjoy coming to Supernormal, with a highly professional and really friendly team, always excellent ramen, dumplings and lobster rolls, what's not to like.

I'm really torn with this place bc i really wanted to love it. The service was absolutely amazing. The wine selection amazing, But the food.... its not terrible its nice. But for the prices youd expect a bit more wow, and it just wasnt there. Nothing was terrible (except the oysters) but nothing was outstanding either.

5 stars for food and service. 5 stars for vibes too!

Far too expensive for what you get, food is ok, portions size is poor and drinks are some of the most expensive around. The best thing surprisingly is the non alcoholic cocktails which a pregnant friend raves about. Would not go back. Large parties are served share plates which ruin the top class reputation this place has quite surprisingly achieved.

Quite a busy place for Monday night, didn't go for tasting menu, opt for a la carte instead. The lamb shoulder was massive, had to take some home as we couldn't finish it between the two. The duck bun was great, the skin was so crispy! The udon noodle salad was average & the sesame bread was too oily for my liking, though the smoked egg plant dip that came with it was good. Didnt think the lobster roll was worth $18 though. Prawn & chicken dumplings were good but not overly amazing.

Great food today. I've had lunch here many times and left undivided. Nailed it today guys, had the banquet option 2, every dish was delicious as was the wine and table service. Bravo

Supernormal is a barn of a place, loud and packed, but the service doesn't miss a beat. The menu is explained quickly, there's no problems dealing with dietary issues, the food comes out fast, and it's superb. The menu here is share plates - small dishes and larger meals all made to share around the table. We had no trouble finishing our meal in the allotted 2 hours, but also never felt rushed. And the staff were superb - great understanding of the food, and wine, and recommendations were spot on. Our favourite Melbourne restaurant.

Majority of the food we had was uh.. Super Normal. It was okay-good, not memorable at all. HOWEVER, what was not super- normal but rather impeccable was their famous lobster rolls- packed suprisingly with generous amounts of juicy lobster meat sandwiched between slightly crispy, buttery brioche buns and paired with a great sauce. I've had many at specialty lobster roll joints but this place outdoes all and is truly THE BEST. Service is wonderful.

Great atmosphere, excellent service and while not cheap there is a lot of work goes into each dish, nice experience for my love 😍💃🏻 and he didn’t have to use the chopsticks 🥢😅

I had a large group come to celebrate my 25th Birthday and the service and food was impeccable! We opted for the $95 banquet which was so worth it for the lobster roll and wagyu that I didn’t get the chance to try last time I had dinner here. I had a few guests with dietary requirements which was no issue, staff have great wine recommendations and overall made us feel so welcomed! If you’re in Melbourne this place is a must visit!

Contemporary Asian food, riddled with Western cooking techniques. Flavor-packed, no-fuss fare, to be enjoyed with an Asian beer or plum wine. Supernormal indeed!

Skip the duck bao. Lobster rolls and lamb shoulder were the best!
