St. Albi Bar & Eatery

Great dinning area for family and friends. However, the foods are not good enough. The taste is not delicious and I'm not satisfied. Just recommended for the seafood chowder, signature dish is fine. Other foods are blended and not good.

Food are over priced for the quality itself. Those two main cost $64 plus 2 drinks end up nearly $90 for not really delicious food. Curry was bland and worse than home cooking, and the pork belly I reckon they deepfry to heat up which it was pretty dry. You can’t even order set menu if u are walk-in customers because u have to book 24hr in advance. What a joke, those items are the same in a la crate menu why we have to book it in advance. I agree St. Albi has an excellent dinning area and great vibe therefore it is also why I think the food is important for customers’ expectation.

We had a nice meal here last night. Meal was tasty , service was good. It's a little more expensive than other local restaurants, but if you want fine dining it's right up there.

The location is deceiving for such a cool place. When I walked in the doors I was mind blown! The service was amazing, atmosphere 10/10, cocktails on point (my fav Gin Sloe Sour) and the food to die for. Great for any occasion: date night, friends catch up, family dinner, birthday you name it!

I like the atmosphere, I liked the music, I liked the service and I loved the food. We felt welcomed and looked after, and not harrassed. The music good and wasn't too loud and neither were the other customers, even though it was really busy. I had the JP steak and duck fat potatoes. It was the best steak I've had in Hobart for a long time. Even the lemon lime & bitters was something special. We will definitely be back.

Amazing location in an industrial area. Service is friendly and efficient. Street parking. Outside and inside dining. Events. Oysters, arancini and pork belly were to die for and would return just for that. Gnocchi was delicious however slightly burnt and the sticky date sweet was dry inside. Large servings. Cocktails were wonderful and accomadated our special requests. Book ahead as every table was full.

The calamari main, had more chilli than I expected, so not my favourite. The steaks were very nice. You do have to pay for your sides though. A little pricey for a small coleslaw. Staff were attentive and friendly.

Staff - 5stars Place was nice. We did not eat so I'm not rating based on the food. We had one starter of roasted duck fat potatoes - 4stars. Cocktails - 3stars. Price of cocktails was not justified by the quality of cocktails we received. Yes it was pretty but no kick despite costing $20+. Therefore overall rating is a 4.

Large spacious dining area with a relaxed and cosy atmosphere. Staff are friendly, helpful and cheerful. The food is scrumptious and the portions are generous enough to fill you up.
