Great coffee, though hated the fact that I went in at 12 on a public holiday and was told the machine was off by the girl at the counter when they close at 1... Found that a bit weird

Overpriced, terrible service. Staff were slow, ignorant and unfriendly. Wouldn't split the bill and charged credit card surcharge. 😡

Good food

45minute+ wait on food, stale toast served with holes and ripped though middle and then asked to leave as the next table had arrived while eating my meal that took so long to come out. They also added $14 to the bill for 2 serves of the replacement toast when I asked for one?? What used to be a good spot for breakfast isn’t anymore go somewhere else.

Visited the cafe on a Saturday morning for brunch. We had booked a table and we are glad that we did. The cafe got busy really quickly. The ambience is nice and had lots of seating area. The menu is pretty wide and has a decent drinks section as well. We had a flat white to start with as it was a pretty cold morning. We ordered a a Breakfast bruschetta, a big breakfast and a watermelon juice. The coffee was pretty hot but the breakfast did not fell value for money. The bruschetta had 3 small triangular bread pieces that were topped with a medley of veggies and a soft poached egg. The photo will speak for itself. Not what we expected from a $18.5 dish. The big breakfast also didn’t feel that big. Had a bigger breakfasts at other places before but this didn’t match up. The juice was nice and fresh. No complaints there.

We arrived about 1pm for some takeaway, couple of coffees and the beef burger. Absolutely delicious. The wait was about 30-40mins, but definitely worth it. Very friendly service. Soy milk was expertly frothed and both coffees were perfect temp. The burger was juicy and full of flavour. The chips were crispy and fresh. Thank you ❤

After showing me to a table my young female waitress asked if I need more time to order. Responding in the affirmative I added that she should come back in two minutes. Returning after more than ten minutes she took my order (smashed avo) and 20 minutes later it arrived. It ought to be mentioned at this point hat three waitstaff were on the floor at this stage and less than half of the seats were occupied. Other patrons seemed dissatisfied with the speed of service, too, judging from noises and gesticulations. The food itself (including one egg and one piece of toasted bread for the cost of $19.50) was both interesting and tasty, the highlight of which was the sauteed cauliflower. Asked by the cashier whether I found everything okay I responded that everything was a big word. Whilst my waitress was outwardly pleasant I was forced to entertain the idea that speedy service with a genuine frown was probably better than slow service with a false smile.

Good coffee. Food looks great but feels like something has changed from a few years ago with the healthy options on the menu and the flavour. Tasted ok but bland. Couldn't taste ingredients/flavour. Was called a few times on my phone after my visit due to a mix up in their bookings. Was a little annoying not leaving messages. Meal felt overpriced as it didn't taste amazing.

I will never go to this cafe again. I made a booking online for Mother's Day and got a confirmation of my booking prior to arriving at the cafe. When we turned up, the manager advised us there was no booking and we had to pay a deposit to secure it. Nowhere did it say that this was a requirement. I have never dealt with such an uncaring attitude and an unwillingness to help, and then tried to tell other customers that he "didn't know what we were on about". He was rude, a liar and completely unsympathetic to our situation, nor did he care that their 3rd party booking engine didn't advise us to make a deposit. Fortunately, the competing Cafe 57 around the corner were more than happy to accommodate us and the food and service there is far better than South Society. And their coffee is terrible.

I had the soft shell crab burger, and a cappuccino. The burger taste nice, the burger salad is flavorful and refreshing, goes well with the soft shell crab, but it is a bit overpriced..... The coffee is quite average. Approachable staff, and nice environment to do your own work/catch up with friends. Great location and lots of parking spots around the cafe.

You are selling mouldy food. Disgraceful. You charge a premium for a small vanilla slice, that is old This is not good, maybe spend more time on FOOD QUALITY Seriously, if food is off throw it out dont sell it

Good brunch / lunch spot in the Pinewood shopping strip. Still as popular, busy as it was when I visited a few years ago. The Asian fusion chilli scrambled eggs with XO sauce was great, coffees were good too.

Don't know what it is with this place. Hit and miss with the food here. U guys changing chefs? I had French toast, one of the easiest things to get right, it looks good on the plate but man is it bad. It's dry and lacks flavour, so much so that you need to get it down with the help of the ice cream. Wife's food was oily and bland. Really bad food topped up by 15% public holiday surcharge!! I am local, not recommending to anyone and not going ever again.

First time having brunch at this place my partner, son and I all had a lovely time. I ordered the breakfast burrito, my partner had the beef burger and my son had the scrambled eggs on toast. My breakfast burrito was amazing even though I only had one bite (I was hungover). My partner ate all her burger and my son ate his eggs on toast. Reasonable prices, friendly staff there are a few things though. Working hospo for 9 years you can't help but give some tips 1. Always let you tables know roughly how long the food will take 2. Polish cutlery, hot water and white vinegar works Other then that definatly coming back.
