We had been looking for somewhere to sit and have breakfast. After finding nothing open in Darling Harbour, we asked a local on her way to work. She recommended the Social Brew. This is a little Cafe that serves great coffee and food (we had the breaky roll and scrambled eggs with bacon). Staff were very welcoming. The thing that impressed us was the number of locals who were here for coffee and food. That is a good sign, as if the locals don't support you, you have no business. If I could give 6 stars, I would.

We visited one afternoon for a couple of drinks and a light snack. The food, drinks and service were excellent. The staff were helpful and engaging. We were so impressed we went the next day for brunch. The coffee is the best I’ve had in Sydney, and the food was amazing. The service and atmosphere were top notch. On top of all that the prices are very reasonable for such a quality service. This will be a favourite of ours now for city visits.

Genuinely one of the best and most satisfying brunches I've had in Sydney so far. Mediocre and overpriced cafes are all too common these days so it was nice to finally find somewhere the food was delicious and reasonably priced too. The coffe was also quite nice. I would highly recommend the Pork Belly and the Hot Cakes. I cant wait to come back and try more of the menu.

One of the best cafes in town. The staff were so friendly and super attentive. They are literally running here and there to make sure every guest is answered and taken care of. We ordered the “today’s special”. Absolutely yummylicious. Would love to visit again.

So glad we got to finally try this place and what a treat it was. The service was attentive, the food was fantastic and just an all round enjoyable meal. We had the bruschetta and ricotta pancakes (which seem to be the favourites) and they really didn't disappoint. Hearty food done well with generous servings. We honestly couldn't fault a single thing and wouldn't hesitate to come back!

No surprise why this cafe is so successful. Friendly staff who go above and beyond, the food is reasonably priced and delicious. Perfect place to go for breakfast, brunch or snack. Highly recommended, this is a business to support.

Beautiful cafe and friendly staff. Bookings recommended. The food is amazing. There is a touch of unique cuisine in each. Coffee is not too shabby as well.

Warm and friendly staff. Their food is also good. We ordered The Brew Deli Board, Loaded Double Double, Slow Cooked Lamb Tagine (you have to try this lamb!). I also really love the Apple Pie - the crust is soft. I’ll visit again next time.

Description

Kitchen closes at 3pm Monday - Friday & 3:30pm on weekends. Social Brew Cafe - something of an oasis of good food and drinks in Pyrmont. Where, let’s face it, the cafe options aren’t as abundant as one would like. Which isn’t to say we’d just head there out of necessity; Social Brew Cafe is a stylish spot, with great service, as well as that aforementioned delicious feed. In the main cafe space, dark walls and hanging lights give Social Brew an industrial, stylish feel. Splashes of red, as well as big windows that open up onto the verandah and trees outside however, give proceedings a welcoming, friendly, relaxed air. Speaking of the “verandah”, outside is where you’ll want to be when the weather’s good and you’ve got a posse together to congregate over a smoothie, or a coffee, or a plate full of pancakes and bacon. Or, let’s face it, all of the above. Social Brew Cafe is found on Harris Street in Pyrmont, just a short walk from Darling Harbour.
