Great place to take your family or loved one

Sky High at the Mount Dandenong is a perfect spot for that cocktail with a sunsets view. If you are lucky and the day is clear, you can also see panoramic view of the Melbourne skyline. It is also family and solo adventure friendly. You could hike up the lookout or bike and drive up. The restaurant at the top could get busy, so book in advance especially during these covid times as the table are reduced. I have been here few times and all my local friends say doesn't matter if you are new or local in Melbourne, the view from up here doesn't get old. It is quiet especial; while you are there also check out the little garden at the back with lots of pretty flowers and a BIG Wishing tree!

Considerate restaurant that I have ever seen before, and put their revenue as priority which is a great thing! It was a chilly night, and we drove in the foggy and raining condition, nearly cannot see anything. Instead of being told the terrible road condition by the restaurant in advance, they just gave me call and asked me whether I still going to their restaurant. Fine! They just care about their income, who doesn’t? When we arrived the restaurant, there is no Contact tracing Check-in requirement, which surprised me deeply. From that moment, I understand that the Covid may not exist in the high altitudes area, somehow it’s better than the vaccine! Food was ok, not so bad, at least it’s cooked and won’t make you have diarrhea:) Table service is one of their speciality. As a customer, you must be patient and calm, as you have to ask them for many times before bringing you any cutlery. While only several customer is dining inside, the waitress can still make a mistake about the serving order. Finally, I spend over $200 on that dinner, because of this, I have to eat instant noodles for the rest of week to cover my loss (T ^ T). When I go back home, I am not angry and disappointed at all. Guess why? Because we are survived, and life is the only thing that matters!

A great disappointment!! Went local for our wedding anniversary, Thursday night booking for dinner. Food average to poor. Started with Pumpkin soup OK Mains were the duck and lamb. "Terrible" Then came desert .... Do not bother with desert. Way over priced at $15 each. Mc Donalds do a better desert. Spent $170 dollars for a terrible meal. Way way over priced for the quality of food served. Will never go back and certainly will not recommend.

Went for a visit on a whim. The sign that says there is a car park fee is accompanied by a statement that there is no way to turn back. Very sneaky. Once inside the carparks and the bistro were chaos. No menus, long wait times, messy tables, cramped conditions. The rest of the area is in various states of 'worn out'. It seems like they didn't take advantage of the COVID shutdowns to do and meaningful reassessments of the use of the place or just general maintenance.

Drugs and dogs mix .. saying that this Venu is family friendly with long queues to the canteen. Will come again.
