I dint lije the place
Very good Yum Cha
Food was average but hubby enjoyed the scallop tofu most.
We had lunch here. Had a high expectation to have a normal yum cha style when trolleys pack of choices running around, but not in here. They just came with 2-3 choices at time, a bit disorganised so we couldn't really got the best of it. Price was ok, staffs so so. The restaurant was busy and full. It might be the reason.
We over stay our lunch time well over closing time because we were having good time got together.and food was fast and very good and they let us stay until one by one we went home. Thanks to the staff well done.
Four Stars 🌟. Two people for Tuesday Yum Cha lunch. Total Bill @ $100.20. Amazingly tasty, the food and service was very pleasant and prompt. The Floor Manager was really service orientated, with awareness of pouring us Jasmine tea at the ripe times. The waitresses were all pleasant and well mannered. Top dishes recommended: Chicken Feet, they were the largest and tastiest I'd had in a while anywhere! The Scallop and Tofu Dim Sums, The Steamed Rice Flour Rolls with Prawns (need to special order), The Yellow Custard Bun for dessert were amazing! (need to special order). They were fresh, steaming hot, fluffy and the custard inside was gorgeous. Totally hit the Spot. ❤️🍮👌
Loved the yellow steamed cake, the best in Melbourne! It is so aromatic and rich. Other dishes are great! I love marinated chicken feet and fried squid. Try fried squid with Worcestershire sauce if you haven’t, they are prefect match! Definitely will go there again😃
Disappointed that tea is offered on arrival with no warning that it will cost $3 a head. Being a long established restaurant, we assumed it would be free. Also I hate a surcharge on credit card, do they really want to keep handling cash? Oh of course they do because cash has a habit of disappearing. Food is still great though.
Despite it being one of the oldest yumcha place in Chinatown, its service quality deteriorates everytime we came. We got seated upstairs for yumcha at 12:45, no one asked us about menu or food until 1 and we had to ask for the menu. There are 3 staff walking around yet no one bothered to ask us what we want or explaining why there's no food truck coming. Food is good, but the service is really disappointing. No one seem to respect those who does not speak Cantonese or who isn't speaking English as a first language.
We came for yum cha. Food was good, and the place has been renovated from some years ago. Our experience has been tainted by the extremely rude attitude of one of the employees there by the name of S***man who acts more like he’s policing the place than providing service. Please retrain if you’d like your customers to have a more positive experience. The other staff there are actually very friendly. Thank you!
