The experience at Sage was nothing short of being absolutely splendid and truly special. It was my wife's birthday and the waitstaff did their very best to make it a truly beautiful and unforgettable experience. Ella, Owen, Bethany and Ainslie were so engaging, ensuring to explain every dish that came our way and went out of their way to provide for our every need. The food was undoubtedly lip-smacking, albeit the portion size being rather small. The crocodile burger as a bar snack the trout were stand out dishes for us. In short, it was a truly beautiful experience and will definitely consider coming back,more so for the fabulous waitstaff. Definitely coming here again
Amazing service with a great intro before each dish. The team were friendly and welcoming. The food was fantastic. The only detractor being the heater not working 100% on the night I was there, and the warmer inside was already in use for a function.
Fantastic 5 course degustation dinner in an intimate setting. All the courses were well balanced and delicious. Excellent attentive but unobtrusive service by Owen - the perfect balance of customer service. The whole team was great, and the cocktails were tasty too! Highly recommended.
This was my first time dining at Sage and easy to say I will be coming back soon. The food was amazing, each dish unique from the rest with perfect flavours that complimented each other. The drink pairings were extremely well thought out, with flavours that matched and were extremely well suited. The mixologist truly has a great palette to create each dish. The service was unlike no other. Owen was extremely friendly and well knowledgeable about the food. He had great banter and you would tell that he enjoyed what he did. All off the staff had amazing customer service and truly went above and beyond to make the dining experience amazing. Will certainly be back soon.
Food was fantastic and service was exceptional. We were served by Owen who was very attentive and informative. Highlights was the beef ribs and the truffle dishes. Highly recommended will be back whenever we are in town.
Astonishingly delicious! We had the 5 course set menu and all dishes were exquisite! The service was exceptional to match and made you feel right at home in a nice cozy atmosphere! I recommend requesting Ella as her service and personable character is one not to miss.
This was our first visit to Sage and we were very impressed. We went for dinner and had the 5 course chef pick along with the paired cocktails for me and matched local wines for my boyfriend. The food was sensational and lived up to the reputation of trip advisors number 1 fine dining restaurant in Australia for 2020. My boyfriend doesn’t often comment too much on food but for him to say the food was really good as well is huge! The staff were very friendly, professional and attentive. Special mention to Maddy who was exceptional and took very good care of us. The only point I could make was to remove the butchers paper from the tables as it detracted from the fine dining experience. Other than that it was a wonderful experience and I can highly recommend especially for a date night. The mint garden outside is a beautiful setting for a cheeky drink or two. Definitely add sage to your to visit list, you won’t be disappointed.
Sage is my favourite Canberra restaurant, always amazing food and great relaxed, friendly service. We recently held our wedding at Sage - it was an amazing day that we will never forget. Huge thanks to the whole team at Sage for such wonderful food, great drinks, and excellent service on the day. The team went above and beyond to help make our day really special. A big thanks to Jaimie. Great attention to dealing with my dietary requirements. We can't wait to come back for our anniversaries and special occasions. Five stars aren't enough!!
Definite place to be if you want to relish some good talks and get pampered along the whole time you are there. The ambience is just the right blend of setting the mood and staff makes the experience all the more comfortable and relaxed. Oh did I not mention of food, thats simply awesome
