107 Beardy St, Armidale
Great food, well sized
Great place
Great food and service
Really great, really cheap, really delicious pub food. Huge servings, well cooked seafood. A really nice surprise
They have these stones. I couldn't see them on the menu. Kinda disappointed. 1/10 Ps. Lots of seating. Good food. Friendly staff. And some fake hedges.
So well set up. Clean, warm and cozy. Plus pints of beer in jugs! Fantastic service and excellent food.
Great pub. Very good value meals. Nice ice cold beer. Staff efficient & friendly.
Not impressed. 1st room they gave us wasn't made up. No hot water for showers next morning. They took a $100 holding deposit off my card and it hasn't been returned 3 days later. Rooms very cramped and basc.
So far we have visited two pubs in Armidale and yet to be impressed by the ambiance or the food. Definately not by the food. Lunchtime for the $10 specials. I was excited by the thought of pub bangers and mash. What did I get? Two skinny, slightly dry and hard, possibly Coles sausages, accompanied by sightly warm peas and a reasonable but not overly flavoursome mash - perhaps the butter was waved over the top. My partner had the pasta with a cream sauce and prawns. I expected the prawns to be tiny but no, they were a good size. I suspect Aldi frozen prawns, having looked at them recently. The pasta was ok but the cream sauce was a gluggy concoction. The staff were nice, the bistro bright and comfortable but let down by very ordinary food. If you cannot make a sufficient profit on your lunch menu, reduce the options and turnover the stock.
Great pub and food!! If you can avoid staying here do so!!! Understandably the accommodation is above a pub, Unfortunately for us it was the only accommodation left in town
