Shared a lovely dinner at the Rose and Crown with my husband over a mid-week Swan Valley getaway. We both enjoyed the beef cheeks mains. Cooked to perfection and so tender. Love both dining rooms each with their own quaint attributes but the fireplaces were so welcome on a cold Winter night. Just a quick suggestion to the bartender try adding a cinnamon stick to the mulled wine. Thanks for a great evening.

Venue: Great outdoor venue for a tipple. Good range of seating options, and especially loved the giant fire place. That would be fantastic on those cold evenings. Food & Drinks: Great selection of beers and wines, I liked the Ginger Beer myself, but there's plenty options to appease the avid tippler. The food could be better, especially the Cauliflower Tacos (so disappointing). The dirty potatoes were rather good, as were the Salt & Pepper Squid (recommended, but could do with more pepper). Service: The staff were quite efficient and friendly (most anyways). TLDR: Great alfresco place, good beer options, could do with better food, good service

We stayed the night and absolutely loved it. Accommodation was wonderful and clean. The hotel is beautiful with a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. I really enjoyed the food and there is also good range of drinks too. Usually there is a fire pit ablaze but the rain unfortunately stopped the fire, but there is more than enough undercover area to accommodate us all. Thanks Rose and Crown, we will definitely be back

Great beer garden out the back. Enjoyed a nice steak sandwich lunch in a really relaxing atmosphere. Nice selection of beers and drinks as well as lunch menu.

Lovely historical pub, restaurant and accommodation. Menu was varied enough for most appetites. Friendly staff and fair market prices. Family friendly and plenty of off street parking. Indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommended.

No Dog Policy in an OUTDOOR BEER GARDEN? I came to Rose and Crown last night, with the plan to have drinks and dinner. My partner and his dad had arrived early and ordered beers. I walked around the back to join them in the beer garden, and was reading the menu to decide my drink of choice. It was a cold, quiet night; nearest customers >2m away, heating on. Then I was approached by a man working there who informed me I was not welcome with my dog (in the outdoor beer garden where I have been with him before...and seen other dogs there before too...) due to Rose and Crown "policy" regarding "allergies to dogs". He instructed us to sit out the front; on of one four tables with no bar service and no heating. This is absurd. I never expect to bring my dog inside, but he comes to all outdoor venues and bars with me. He is small (and hypo-allergenic by the way, not that it should matter) and on a leash. If there happens to be another patron allergic to dogs, they can simply not walk up to my table and interact with my dog. Anyway, we obviously didn't stay for dinner or order any more drinks. Very disappointed with this entire experience and interaction; would appreciate a reply to my email and to be honest, a change in "policy". Well-behaved, leashed, social dogs should be very much allowed in the outdoor beer garden; and if not, at least have a clear sign before patrons order drinks.

A fantastic old pub/hotel with a few secrets. The underground cellar bar is great. I had the Sunday roast which was well cooked and very filling.

Had a booking for 17people and all of the food was amazing! All came out together which was nice too! Decent craft beers on tap in the beer garden too
