66 Hunter St, Sydney
Unbelievable quality and service as always. Pricey but worth every cent. A favourite for special pccasions
One of the best steak house I've been to in Australia. The food was sensational, beautifully arranged and full of flavour, with generous portions served in a professional manner! A special mention goes out to the floor staff, what a bunch of legends. Next level service. Apart from those we ordered from the menu, we were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary birthday cake! Thanks Rockpool for a memorable and enjoyable evening! Will be back for sure! 👍
Can only recommend to go here. High quality food. The starter, water melon with fetta, mint and pine nuts was probably one of the best starters I’ve had. Fantastic flavor combination. The rib-eye on bone was great. Met my expectations but not more.
A bit pricier than the local pub. Nice steak and veg.
One of the best steak houses in town located in a very nice venue. The dishes are beautifully arranged and full of flavour, with generous portions served in a professional manner. They focus on customer service and I’m glad to finally see a place having professional waiting staff. Went there for and anniversary dinner and we agreed that we couldn’t choose a better place. I would say that a subtle background music wouldn’t harm, especially to cover the noise from the kitchen.
Very nice restaurant with a great vibe and food to go with it. If possible try and get a table on the second floor. It's a great view overseeing the whole restaurant. A great place in the city for casual dining or a special occasion. The steak menu and variations are amazing and so are the baby ribs! So much to try, definitely someone for everyone.
Delicious, I would recommend the Sydney rock oysters. I had the Scotch "minute style" with cafe de Paris butter and that was great. Steak melted in my mouth. Service was a bit slow and busy on Friday and Saturday nights
This was my first experience at Rockpool, which I was excited for as I’ve heard so many great things. Coming from a background in hospitality and events, I was expecting the service to be of quality. The food was fantastic, however, our service was very slow and our waitress on the night was quite rude and dismissive of our table. Her attitude really did dampen the night. Upon our departure we wished her a good night, which we did not receive a response. She did ask our friends who followed after if we payed the bill, which I found to be very disappointing as she should have been across this. Despite having nice food, I would not come back here as the experience was not up to scratch. In hind sight, we would have spent our money elsewhere (our bill came to over $1000).
Just, wow! I'm still thinking about this meal two weeks later. It's one of those rare restaurants where they just hit the nail on the head with every aspect of the experience. We had a wide range of foods on the menu and I couldn't even begin to pick a favorite, it was all just fantastic. It's not exactly a cheap eat, but it's absolutely value for money here. And no tiny portions, we left absolutely stuffed!
Where to start? Obviously this place is expensive AF. However you are more so paying for the experience. The signature dish, the sirloin, was amazing. Went with a party of 6 and pretty much shared 6 mains and 5 entrees with about 5 sides. This was too much food. Service and atmosphere was great, excellent menu, just bear in mind that it is a bar and grill.
