Rockpool Bar & Grill

Made a booking several weeks earlier for my wife & I at Rockpool to celebrate our 48th anniversary, 24hrs prior to the day I received an email to confirm attendance in which it was suggested that I upload a photo of us so as they can greet us personally on arrival,well we arrived & no personal greeting.After been shown to our table & a little time had passed I asked the waitress if we could order our entree first to give us a bit of time to decide on our main course to which she up abruptly replied that the order has to be taken completely at one time this really disappointed & surprised us,we certainly lucked out with our waitress who we found to be cold insincere and uninterested in providing us with any service,it is as though she was there physically but somewhere else mentally just going through the motions of her duties her customer skills were very poor and she showed no interest what so ever though at one stage she did ask if we were celebrating something but before we could answer she just walked away. What should have been a wonderful night celebrating 48 years together was really dampened by the attitude of one person its as if she stole our night of celebrating such a beautiful occasion she really let your team down.So disappointing and unexpected from such a renowned restaurant as Rockpool,we shall not return.

The bartenders here were super friendly and helpful, guiding myself through their terrific wine list and what would pair nicely with each course. The food was also great, particularly the prawn tortellini pictured.

We had a wonderful anniversary celebration here! Special thanks to Benny for delightfully serving us and his recommendations are spot on. Their mains portions are generous and their steak is easily one of the best steaks I’ve ever tasted 😋

decent fishing spot, lots of different fish to catch. bring plenty of bait. boat ramp could do with a bit of work, but aside from that good parking, great spot under the trees to spend your sunday

Service was great Suitable place for couples dating

We went as a table 6 this evening. The restaurant is classy in looks and the staff at front desk were extremely friendly and inviting . The restaurant had a nice feel to it. However, unfortunately, the wait staff were very slow and at times rude . We all sat for approx 15 minutes without being asked what we’d like to drink ( not even served water). We had to kindly call over wait staff several times for basics such as forks , steak knives , first drinks etc Our food finally arrived, however 5 out of 6 dishes were rated very average . The steaks were tough ( supposed to be cooked medium) and generally the food was below average. This place is extremely overrated. The bill was reasonable , however did not match the food quality or service . 5 out of 6 guests would not return ! If you are looking for an impressive night , to match the décor and location , this restaurant is not it unfortunately.

Service was great. We ordered a few entres to share and they kindly split each dish for us. The food is exceptional. Apart from those we ordered from the menu, we were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary birthday cake! It wasn't a normal cupcake!! We will definitely be back.

A great restaurant for a celebratory meal. The food and wine was fantastic, with the steak cooked perfectly and the vast array of sides hard to choose from. Our service was exceptional, with a huge number of staff all working together for a cohesive experience. The interior architecture of the building is very grand, which complimented the vibe of the restaurant.
