Nice restaurant and pub with excellent entertainment, the Singer Emile Matla give a excellent entertainment show , great singer!

What a gem of a hotel. Friendly locals and staff. Great value meals and drinks. Wonderful spaces for indoor or outdoor entertainment. Clean and tidy accommodation upstairs with a fantastic balcony and views of the surrounding area. Definitely recommended if you're searching for a place to stay around Morpeth.

My family and I were invited to a birthday lunch at the River Royal today. We arrived at 2.10PM and immediately went to place our order for lunch. We were rudely told that the kitchen was closed as they were to busy. Even though it is advertised that the bistro is open till 2.30PM on a sign and a flag out the front and also the face book page. Sadly we had to leave the party as they would not serve us lunch 😒

Good feed, quieter end of town. Good brew to wash it down with.

Cool little pub for a beer with the locals. Really nice inside and great selection of beverages to chose from. Love me a Jim Beam black, it’s rare in pubs but these guys had ready to roll. Loved the local Golden Retriever ‘Maisy’ hanging around for a pat and a chill. Nice little town to walk around and take in some nice old buildings.

This was exactly what I would expect from a little country pub - tasty food, friendly service, great outdoor seating and cold beer. The kids ate free with a paying adult and we're spoilt with an ice block after the meal. Highly recommend to anyone in the area or simply passing through.
