Very nice venue great food and service. A very worth option for a by the harbour venue. Think casual elegant. The menu has something to please almost every palate and there is a solid wine list. Dishes are well presented and very hard to fault. The area also has access to.Clifton Gardens and Sydney Harbour National Park walking trails and parking is nearby. Well worth a visit for something different.

One of the best meals I have ever eaten! We came here for a birthday dinner and all of us left in the best food comas. It’s worth every dollar and you can tell the quality. The seafood tasted so fresh and the beef tenderloin was perfectly cooked. Get the bread to start cause I have never been so in love. Definitely recommend!

Second visit here & both times it has been incredible. Atmosphere is nice (without the fluff of fine dining) with attentive waiters who aren’t overbearing. Everything on the menu was fantastic but the highlight was probably the seafood platter. Mussels cooked in beef tallow were something special. Their potato bread is always a hit & the main (pork) was perfectly cooked & fatty. Nice to finish on some relatively light desserts that aren’t over sweet. Easily of the best value for money restaurants going around in Sydney. 3 years between visits was too long but the meals are memorable for the right reason.

Have been a few times before but most recently with a large group for a celebration. Set menu is great and service very attentive. Reasonable pricing and didn't charge for a party member who couldn't attend. I recommend the tenderloin! Lovely cut and perfectly cooked. Highly recommended!

Overlooking Chowder Bay and Clifton Gardens, sitting out on the verandah is a delight. Fresh food and delicious drinks, an easy go to spot - recommend for lunch or an afternoon drink to make the most of the views. (Note: be prepared to pay for parking all around that area!).

Amazing good, service & location. Kingfish was such a treat. Gravy on the beef, stunning! Prawns & calamari were astonishingly tender.

Had our anniversary dinner there a few weeks ago. Absolutely perfect. The food was exquisite. Definitely try the lemon meringue pie. It's my favorite dessert but this is the best one I've ever had. The view is amazing and the service was excellent.

Had lunch for the wife’s 40th here, and it was great! The beautiful view is to be expected of course and really adds to the experience, make sure you sit on the deck outside. I ordered the Salmon fillet which was good, not really pink in the middle as I asked, so a bit over cooked but still good. My wife had the risotto which was really good, except for the goat cheese on top which had a slight synthetic after taste to it. Service was great and friendly all throughout the meal. Overall a great experience, but food could have been slightly better.

Description

Ripples Chowder Bay, located in Mosman, is on the Taronga Zoo to Balmoral foreshore walk and offers magnificent views of the famous Clifton Garden's Bay. Its opening marked a momentous occasion, as it was the first time in over 100 years that the general public could enter this historic space, once reserved for secret military operations to defend Sydney Harbour. Featuring a modern Australian menu with European influences, Head Chef Kristian Gamble uses only the freshest seasonal produce to create simple flavoursome dishes. Guests have a good selection of share plates, pasta or more substantial main dishes that reflect the seasons. This fully licensed and BYO waterfront restaurant is open for Breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays and Lunch & Dinner 7 days a week. Perfect for dining with a group, a special celebration or a nice romantic meal for two, Ripples Chowder Bay has become one of the top favourites amongst Mosman, Cremorne and Neutral Bay locals.
