Redfern Fish & Chips

Thoroughly enjoyed my take out here. The owner of the store is super friendly and nice, wanted to give him a shout-out. Love the calamari, was thick and had fantastic texture to it. The fish was good, maybe a little over cooked for my liking (especially the salmon). The other highlights were the potato cake and the Greek salad; highly recommend that as a side but wished it was packaged by itself and not with the fish & chips.

Where do I start?! We came here a few weeks ago when I was craving a humble beef burger. Boy were we pleasantly surprised we found this joint!! My partner got the chicken schnitzel burger and both were juicy, packed with flavour, fresh and plenty of meat in both! We saw the fish and chips and decided to come back to try it. The fish was so soft and tender, perfectly cooked with a crispy batter that wasn't too oily, and the chips were the same- just perfection. Both times we've been here, customer service has been absolutely top notch. The owner is a lovely bloke always with a smile on his face and cracking jokes and so welcoming and friendly! We ordered the duo meal from here with uber eats tonight and it was so heavy!! We found this lovely note inside with some extra cans of drink and some delicious refreshing salads we didn't know we wanted!! What a lovely surprise, we can't wait to be back and will definitely be recommending friends to come here too!

great place to grab fresh fish and chips. hand cut chips are rare nowadays but very welcome so credit to these guys. Fresh fish is bought from the fish markets on MOnday, Wednesday and Friday which again is not a given with most fish and chip places.

Refreshing to see such a fantastic traditional fish-and-chips establishment. Friendly, helpful staff. Great food, good prices. I had fish and chips - crispy on the outside, tender and cooked well on the inside. The chips were obviously freshly cut in-house. My wife had a burger and loved it.

Excellent customer service, tasty home made chips and fresh fish. The best calamari I have had in a very long time. Can’t wait to go back and try the burgers as they looked awesome.

Yum! Exactly what you want from a local take out fish n chips place. Fish n seafood outstand, chips aren't my fave but perfectly reasonable, lovely staff, value for money. We'll be back

My partner is from Geelong and he has been forever searching for a Fish and chip shop that meets his needs. We came across this place on Uber Eats and it has been our go to ever since. Im so impressed by the quality, taste and the value for money. We’ve had bad experiences with UberEats before and our order was just cancelled for no reason from the delivers end so I placed another order. The lovely man at the shop called me and assured me everything is all good and ready to go. The Customer Service is flawless. I am so impressed by these guys! Thank you for everything!!!! 💛💛

Good fish and chips. Pleasant staff. Reasonable prices. Lots of foods you would expect from a good fish and chip shop. Hand cut chips are really good as is the homemade tartare sauce.

Possibly the best fish and chips. Good service. Friendly staff. Very generous serving. (There was a little surprise as well). Yummy hand cut chips. Reasonably priced too. Perhaps a tad more seasoning on fish/batter would have been nice:) Definitely recommended!

This is the best chip shop I’ve been to in Australia. Real cut potato chips, the burgers are amazing! Billy is a legend!
