Great coffee and food. Well worth a visit.

Probably one of the worst hospitality experiences.. we were on a road trip and stopped here looking for some lunch. Upon stepping into the store we were “acknowledged” by “have you checked in or signed in and someone will be with you shortly” no hello or greetings. We stood waiting at the counter for probably 3 minutes until someone was ready to serve us. We sat and waited for our coffees (22 minutes) to get an overheated bitter and curdled almond latte that was not drinkable due to the almond milk separating from the water. We then waited about 10 more minutes for our food which while waiting I was observing the older woman with shortish grey hair serve other customers giving them blunt and rude service and explaining to them how “people just keep coming in and we can’t get anything done so you’ll have to wait” to the customers wanting a table. I could not believe the foul attitude of this staff member. After a global pandemic and the closure of so many small businesses like this I would have thought people wanted business ? Obviously not. The shop had precisely 16 customers including ourselves and 3 front of house staff on. It was hardly busy and very poor service and work ethic from the staff that were on. We also sat with the previous customers dirty plates, cups and napkins on our tables as they were not taken both times a staff member came to our table with our coffee and food. The food was great and kudos to the chefs. I will not be back and will not at all be recommending this place to anyone. And as for the older woman serving I suggest it’s time she is moved on from working in customer service or she closes up shop if this is her store.

Was looking for some delicious pies from a small country town bakery and this place didn’t disappoint. Tried the chicken and leek pie and pepper steak pie. Both were delicious. Lovely buttery pastry and quality ingredients inside. Came with a nice fresh salad. Moroccan soup special was also good. Service was slightly abrupt however would go back for the food. Highly recommended.

Nice pies but as others have mentioned there’s a person “serving” who lowered the potential overall rating.

A cosy cafe with a modest selection of snacks and baked goods. There were no prices on display so you just hope for the best! My frittata was somewhat flavourless but luckily it was accompanied by a relish.

To say that their food is fresh is an understatement. The meat in their burger was succulent and the salt & pepper calamari was so crispy and fresh. Also, they serve Michael Unwin wines which is a Win!

Very nice, coffee was good and had a selection of cake and also sauces and relishes . They also had some lovely clothes and jewellery

WOW! This place is amazing. What a great atmosphere.. The customer service was outstanding and the food was absolutely delicious. I'll be back :))))

Enjoyed our lunch meal but was just passing through

This is a great café. Their home made pies, pasties and sausage roles are excellent and substantial. Coffee and atmosphere is also great.
