Love love love pot of gold. We always make a point to go when we visit family in Wollongong. The owner is wonderful and the chimichunga is the best you will find.

Pot of gold is a another Wollongong icon having been here for as long as I can remember. The food is great with a range of different dishes from Chimchanga, Burritos, Tacos, Chicken dishes. Do ask for hot if you really want spicy food. The owners/staff are super friendly and genuinely from Latin America. It overlooks crown street mall and there are entrances both from the Crown street side as well as from Court lane which is handy for people who have difficulty with stairs. The restaurant is nice and quiet which is good for people hard of hearing/ conversation / catching up etc.

You want real Mexican food by people who are actually from the region then look no further. The manager is one of the nicest, most humble people you'll meet. I highly recommend the chicken Chimichanga! Amazing.
