Much better than we think! Very good Cantonese restaurant!

Delicious food! We all chose different prawn dishes....each one so different, fresh food, tasty sauces and very generous portions. Service was friendly, attentive and they recommended some great options we hadn’t ever tried before. Every table was full with diners which gave a great Friday night atmosphere.

A must when you visit Canberra, has been my fave for over 27 years. It has all the usual Chinese favourites, always a good atmosphere and if only the walls could talk when Parliament is sitting. It is great to see some things just do not change and Portias is my go to Chinese when in Canberra.

Felt rushed to make orders. Staff were pushy, especially the owner/manger-looking lady. She didn't seem to want us be there. In contrast she was very friendly greeting and chatting with locals. The food was ok, but will definitely not go there again next time we visit Canberra.

I've been a long time customer of Portia's, usually for takeaway. Service is always fast and generally good value. More recently, I've noticed the quality of some of the dishes we usually order declining (dry chicken, when ordering with Shantung sauce; undercooked Chinese broccoli). I hope it is just a temporary thing.

Szechuan king prawns, Mongolian beef and Kung Po chicken for lunch (with steamed rice) - all so delicious and fresh and the prawns were extra succulent. Service was gracious, non-intrusive and helpful. We'll definitely be back 😊
