Port Elliot Bakery

Biggest queue I've ever waited in for a bakery but I understood once we were eating. I got the monthly specials of the chicken satay pie and caramilk marble donut and they were both excellent. Worth a trip here if you're staying anywhere in the area.

This place is amazing!! So many choices, and you can't go wrong. Had both the savoury and sweet of the month and they were so good. Red Velvet Donut and Chicken Lasagna Pie. If you come anywhere close to this bakery, do yourself a favour pop into this place!

They have AMAZING food there! If you want a vanilla slice you’d have to go there quite early though but apart from that I go there once a month. (Amazing donuts! They have a donut of the month, DELICIOUS)

I have been coming to the Port Elliot Bakery for couple of years now and simply they are by far one of the best in South Australia. They actually use chunky meat rather than mince meat which some bakeries have started doing and charging a lot more which is terrible. I have had some of the beef and lamb pies and they are outstanding, delicious and perfect with flavour every single time. Let's also not forget their monthly donut specials, they are amazing and worth the 1.5 hours drive.

Best tasting pies and bakery delights you can get anywhere. Reasonably priced and just amazing quality with good efficient service.

Gutted the vanilla slices were sold out when we got here but everything else we had was deliciousssssssss and so fresh, so I'm quite happy. PS - prepare to queue. If you want their famous vanilla slices, go in the morning. They sell out fast!

Great food. Staff friendly and helpful even with covid restrictions.

Yummy sausage rolls & steak/mushroom pie. Lived up to their reputation. Donut of the month (caramilk) was loved by my husband 🤤.

Institution. Not the best pie you'll ever have, but they're so good. Queues are massive, but don't stress the service is quick without staff being rude. Can't go wrong here

Well, this is the second time I have been to the Pt Elliott Bakery. This is the second time I have been disappointed. Very much overrated and a very busy bakery for reasons I don't know why. The 2 pies I have consumed, lacks filling, although the flavour is fine. My wife had a Kitchener bun and had fake cream, she also was disappointed once again. I really don't think there will be a next time.. I'm so, so lucky I have a lovely bakery only 900 metres away from my home and they do a wonderful job...
