Port Arthur Centre Grocery Takeaway Cafe & Info

Pretty sour and unfriendly service, because we look like mainlanders or out of towers... They smiled at the locals though. Good average... Burger was not bad, but for $20 with chips? We're not that far from civilisation! Dumplings were deep fried but tasty, Mr Chens from the supermarket we think. I can cop the prices, but not the unfriendly service.

We were served by a very welcoming and friendly male. We both ordered the curried scallop pie as the chunky seafood rich chowder was sold out. I flipped up the pastry so you can see the contents underneath. It was tasty and a worthwhile order. We'll be back for that chowder though as I've seen photos for it!

Best Aussie burger with chips ever! Fresh ingredients, great size and lovely cafe. Customer service was also excellent. The chef came out the kitchen to ask where I wanted the sauce which it sounds silly but goes beyond what most restaurants would do

We had some veggie burgers, Aussie burger and kids meals. Although the veggie burgers were just premade frozen shop bought patty’s, we did enjoy the meals, great portion sizes and reasonably priced. We would go there again for a quick meal 😊

I had just run Cape Raoul and was desperate for a coffee and something to eat. Thank goodness that the Port Arthur Grocery Takeaway was just down the road. The food was good and the coffee came hot. The locals were friendly and we both appreciated each other.

The food and the service was true blue. Super friendly service, highly recommended. The coffee was excellent!

I went to the port Arthur centre grocery because the other general store across the road seemed a bit dingy. Ordered a burger and chips, legit best chips I have had in a while lol. Great food for dinner options, and affordable. Friendly customer service, and the diner style Cafe is nice. Just had to do a review (never do honestly) because it seems like a lot of people are sleeping on this place, compared to the other general store across the road. - update I subsequently went to the 'other general store' the next day. I have to say, as dingey as it looked, the food we had was amazing. They are both honestly great food options. Don't judge a book by it's cover like me
