Port Admiral Hotel

Stopped in for lunch, beautifully renovated, lots of tables outside. A few teething problems but friendly staff and plenty of choices for food options. Dip was great, dumplings would have been better steamed, coconut chicken smaller pieces....way tpo much garnish....a few tweaks But overall support a new local business, definately be back. Would recommend booking first.

We were in for dinner Saturday night, the place was very busy so there was a bit of a wait on food which was understandable. Food was good but the service was outstanding! All the people working were super friendly and accommodating. Namely, Felicity who dealt with all of our dietary requirements and requests, constantly checked back on our table and did it all with a huge smile and made us feel so welcome, absolute delight. We’ll be back, thank you !

Totally in love with this space. Great crew and good food so far. Enjoying their Port Lager brewed by Pirate Life and their daily happy hour from 530 to 630. We have already visited 2 Mondays in a row to enjoy their $10/kg chicken wings and hope to visit again soon to enjoy their highly recommended fish n chips. Rated alongside the Stunned Mullet.

Food is ok (chips seasoning was really good) Place needs to be cleaned as it is veryyy dusty above the sofa seats and there are many flies 😩 And it took a very long time for the food to be served. Also; I saw the chefs using their hands without gloves 🤢

First time customer. We ordered dinner delivered from the Port Admiral Hotel restaurant recently and it was absolutely delicious, mouthwatering and beautifully cooked and presentation. We ordered: Wood Grilled Portuguese Chicken with Scorched corn, chilli, green leaves, pickled red onions, porto dressing, creamy potato salad (gf). Crinkle Cut Chips (VO / GF) Environmentally friendly takeaway packaging. The Wood Grilled Portuguese Chicken was juicy and tender, and the salads were beautifully made. I especially loved the potato salad and how perfectly soft cooked the potatoes were. I often avoid potato salad from restaurants and takeaway stores because majority of places don’t cook the potatoes properly and they’re often undercooked…. Well, the chef/cook who is at the Port Admiral restaurant is an excellent chef/cook. Everything about the food we had was exceptional. Perfect balance of flavours & seasoning. Top quality! Unfortunately they don’t currently offer their restaurant menu desserts on their MenuLog app delivery menu. Hopefully management or the kitchen will consider adding this to the menu soon. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning customers!

Decided to pop down for dinner as they reopened this week. We took our assistance dog in training and a couple of friends. Everyone polished off their plates and had a wonderful night. Staff even offered pup water and treats (which we brought with us anyway) and brought her out a tennis ball! How awesome! Love the inclusivity of the menu being 100% gluten free, with vegan and dairy free options too. Couple of teething issues with out online booking and the orders that came out, but no big deal as all was sorted with a smile. Bloody great night and will definitely be back.

Went for tea to support the new owners since they have reopened. Sorry guys the food was really bad, is there anything on the menu that isn’t frozen. The microwaves seemed to be working overtime. The menu before the closure was top notch and the food was amazing. The service was good and staff were lovely but why serve mains whilst we are still eating entree, you are actually doing yourselves out of drink sales. It’s not like it’s super busy and you need the table freed up. Unfortunately unless the food improves we won’t be back ☹️

10/10 Crispy Eggplant and salad is to die for and steak is always cooked perfectly. super cool fit out with an awesome vibe. perfect for dinner or drinks. great to see such a historic pub in the port be revitalised.

My friend and I booked in for lunch after visiting the Bowerbird Market so were both starving! Great to see that my favourite pub in the Port was buzzing. The food choices were great, and more importantly excellently cooked and presented. I had the Lamb Souvlaki and a side of greens (lamb was seriously tender and tasty) and the fish and chips delicately battered with crispy chips. The staff were super busy but stayed warm and friendly and the whole team worked so well together. Thanks for a lovely lunch and let's hope there are many more to come
