A truly wonderful dining experience. Creative dishes that were full of flavour and texture. Fabulous paired wines. Friendly service from knowledgeable staff. Great ambience. Bravo.
We went out on Wednesday night for a dinner. All of us loved the food. The server was friendly and took good care . It's was a wonderful experience.
My partner and I have been to Pilot the last two times we visited Canberra and they are two of the best meals we have both ever had. We have both travelled extensively and eaten at a myriad of incredible places and Pilot is easily one of the best experiences we have ever had. From the incredible, unique and innovative food to the friendly service. The food is fine dining but the service is friendly and welcoming without a touch of snootiness. Bonus was the AMAZING non-alcholic pairing option which complimented each dish perfectly and was an absolute delight. We can't wait to come back again.
Excellent experience. Not one to miss in Canberra. Full marks!
My partner and I were truly blown away by everything about this place! The food was excellent, but they also had everything from the customer service to the fine dining vibe spot-on. The passion for their craft was very evident! We were very appreciative that they were able to facilitate our very late notice dietary request. Thank you. We have tried quite a few fine dining restaurants in Canberra, and whilst there are many others, we would comfortably say Pilot is in the Top 5 best fine dining restaurants in Canberra. We will be back!
Today for a Sunday lunch - second sitting - we visited Pilot following recommendations and rave local reviews. It was nothing short of outstanding. The fixed-price degustation menu offered a beautiful selection of crafted dishes. Service was attentive and engaging making for a wonderful experience. There was the opportunity to pair beautifully selected wines with each dish, or as we did select a combination of sparkling non-alcohol juice blends and wines. A memorable winter’s day afternoon !
Thoroughly enjoyed our experience here with family last month, it was our second visit. A well rounded meal, with a well curated beverage list. Please consider this on your list! NB: it’s a formal restaurant, we just saw a reviewer give these guys a bad rating for bringing a 9 month old. This is not a restaurant that you bring little ones to.
Great to be able to dine at a casual fine dining restaurant. Seated outside which is a pleasant surround. Food was generally excellent and look appetising. Pork dish was probably a little off the mark. Wine description may be a little more brief. Nice change from the usual formal fine dining.
Last night's dinner was, without question, winner of the week....maybe even ever! The food was creative, clever and, of course, sensationally delicious. The staff were so professional and knowledgeable, without being over the top. They worked like a machine, with seamless transitions between courses, while still being relaxed and engaging. If you're in Canberra, do yourself a favour and visit @pilotrestaurant. I can't recommend it highly enough.
I have been to Pilot previously and have immensely enjoyed my dining experience. However, my recent dining experience has left such a bad taste in my mouth I will never again go. It had nothing to do with the food. The food i couldn’t fault. The service on the other hand was horrible. I went with my husband and the newest addition to our family, my 9 month baby. Upon seating, I had to ask if they provided high chairs - they did not. That’s fine and all, but it would have been much appreciated if they told us when we arrived that they do not provide high chairs or on their website. I have no problem if a restaurant do not cater for babies or have a no baby/children policy. But please be transparent cause this is what I experienced from Pilot. I felt unwelcomed and will never spend my money there ever again.
