Hi, is Peko Peko a BYO restaurant? Can we bring beer?

If MTC play finishes 8 30pm can we come for quick meal and order before 9pm?

Do they allow you to split the bill?

Busy Asian eatery nestled in a group of other restaurants surrounded by the many residential apartments and businesses in South Melbourne. The place was busy with all tables occupied on a Saturday night. The menu was interesting with a selection of Taiwanese style dishes. Service was quick and the food was tasty. Definitely worth a try for something different.

I love their Taiwamese sausage fried rice. Full of flavour and filling enough for a decent meal.

The ambiance and food reminded us so much of the casual, inviting vibe of Taipei. The sesame broccoli, fried chicken, and stir fried vegetables were all delicious. The vegetables especially were full of flavor.

So disappointed. Used to be one of my favourite restaurants in Melb. I mean it’s still relatively good, but not as good as before

Authentic Taiwanese cuisine is a rarity in Victoria, let alone a good one. Peko Peko is a rare gem hidden in a quiet South Melbourne street, serving up hearty, home cooked Taiwanese dishes for over a decade. The restaurant itself is clean, casual and considerable and the service is polite and friendly. Highly recommend the wasabi mayo prawns, fried chicken and Taiwanese sausage. Expect to fill up your tummy for about $13 per main dish.

The food is probably good, but we found our main dishes tasted mostly like deep fry crust and mostly felt bloated from it. Dessert was more distinguished, although the green tea ice didn't taste like green tea. We were in a very draughty place too, which was mildly uncomfortable.
