I have known Papa Gino's since my high school days. Whilst I don't go to Carlton often as I like, it is definitely one of if not my favourite Italian restaurant in Melbourne! Went for the risotto marinara in a main serve today and tastes as excellent as I can remember from my last visit. Furthermore, everything else is also excellent value for money. Definitely will return when I'm in the area and crave for Italian food.

Loved the place and pasta as well. Celebrated my 3rd Wedding Anniversary here.

Tasty, soft, fresh pasta; pizza made in front of you with light crispy wood fired taste, good service, rustic vibe that is often too noisy but pretty typical of lygon street. A couple of their sauces weren't great but this is still the best pasta I've had in the area. Have been back twice.

The service is 100000/10, very caring and friendly. Highly recommend their super special pizza. And the pasta with garlic oil is 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻😍😍😍. Later we dipped the bread in the garlic oil and cleaned the plate completely. I would say their tiramisu is top 3 in Melbourne. The dark choc on top adds a crunchy texture and another layer of flavour. Love this restaurant!

What can I say, my Papa Gino's experience was grabbing a pizza on the way home as I couldn't be bothered cooking. Fast, friendly service from the team here. We got two pizzas, one with a gluten free base and they were both great pizzas with thin bases, good toppings and tasty. Good work
