Ostani

My partner and I stayed at the Realm Hotel for 4 nights and our experience was so good the first night that we ended up enjoying 3/4 dinners at Ostani. The staff are wonderful and so accommodating! All cocktails and food are delicious! The ribs are the best we have had in Australia! Highly recommend visiting Ostani when in Canberra!

Great atmosphere. A lovely spot to catch up with friends, with a cosy fireplace, nice food and enough space (including a large outdoor area) that you can enjoy a conversation without having to shout.

Ostani is located on the ground floor of hotel realm. It has a nice fireplace in the centre of the room, great atmosphere from afternoon till late at night, while mornings are quiet and peaceful. I personally would not recommend having breakfast at ostani simply because the food is not hotel quality and it’s very expensive. A babycino costs 4 bucks which is just froth! pancakes are generous on the plate, but it doesn’t taste good. To be honest the presentation is nowhere near hotel standards. You’re better off going somewhere else and queuing up for much nicer food and coffee especially if your visiting Canberra. Venture out and explore what Canberra has to offer because it’s completely different nowadays than it was 5-10 years ago.

Reasonably priced for well-presented lunch which came in good time with good service. Pleasant atmosphere on what was a quiet day. Had the Marinated Tuna Poke Bowl and Coconut & Lime Poached Chicken Salad. Poke met expectation and was a generous serving, chicken salad was satisfactory but a little wanting in terms of complexity of flavours. Complementary still and sparkling water on tap was a nice touch.

Wonderful place, absolutely love the vibe! The cocktails were so good! The only downside which could've just been on that night was that there was quite a wait to receive the food but the food was really nice and staff were super friendly!

Nice atmosphere and great service. Meals are well priced and reasonable sized without being too large. Beef cheeks were tasty but needed to be cut rather than falling apart and 'melt in your mouth tender. Pizzas were also tasty but could do with a little more topping to the edges of the pizza. Overall a reasonable venue for a few drinks and dinner.

Love the steak. Wait time isn't too long and the service is excellent. Staff friendly and efficient!

Good bang for your buck especially for the food, the drink probably cost you more than the food. Easy, simple and quick bite with a good ambience after the renovation.

Great cold beer, just what you need on a Friday after work. They just need a few more vegetarian/vegan options on the menu.

Was staying at Hotel Realm and accidentally found one of the best bar & restaurants around. Poke bowl and ravioli were fantastic and the dessert calzone pictured was enormous, inexpensive, and mind blowingly good. The circular fire setup is a great place for a drink too.
