I don't normally complain at all, but this experience deserved a review. We booked a table at Opera Bar to celebrate my partners birthday and given we had spent most of 2020 in lockdown, we wanted to make it a special occasion. As we're from Victoria, we hadn't been to Opera Bar before. I rang up in advance to request a table with a view, given it was a special occasion and the staff on the phone kindly confirmed. But when we arrived, the female staff member upon entry placed us on a table behind the bar, which had an obstructed view. Not a big deal I thought, however when I kindly asked whether we could look at another table option, the staff member rudely said that there was nothing else and that all tables had a view. She also stated that she could move us to another table but it wouldn't be undercover and that we would likely "complain" again if it rained. Funnily enough, there was no rain on the radar! So we sat at the table we were assigned to, watching everyone else enjoy their view and a good time. Not only did we not receive a great spot, none of the staff checked in to see if everything was OK or to even explain how to order food and drinks. Overall, the place is great – reasonable food, great music and atmosphere. However, more attention needs to be made into customer service, as this is well below what you'd come to expect from a highly regarded venue. We're unlikely to return.

It was really good and the view was second to none. If you want to dine in a location where you can see both the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House at the same time then this is the spot. It’s always pretty busy and we had to wait 20 minutes for drinks and 40 minutes for drinks. So make sure you go for the experience and not a quick feed on your way to somewhere else.

This restaurant is one of the most beautiful restaurants in the Opera House area. The service is excellent, the food is very delicious, and most importantly, the scenic views around us. We will definitely go there again .πŸ‘πŸŒΉβ˜•πŸΉπŸ”

A great place to eat. 1st time I've ordered using a phone menu - what a great idea. More places should do this. And the second all time first is their seagull patrol keeping the rats of the sky at bay. Great food and great views and a top people watching spot.

What a great night! We were there for a friends birthday drinks and we had a blast! The staff were amazing and super friendly, the big boss John was a great guy and really made sure we were looked after. The gorgeous young woman that served us at the bar was as super cute and friendly and always had a huge smile when we rocked up at the bar. The security staff were engaging and friendly and the trio that were playing were fantastic. Looking forward to having another night out there again soon. Cheers πŸ₯‚

The Opera Bar is the pinnacle venue in Sydney. It is the most perfect location you could possible imagine, with fantastic views of the gorgeous Sydney Harbour. The food is always excellent, and it reasonably priced considering the location and quality. Drinks are a little on the pricey side, so have your wallet prepared if you want to have more than a few. Can't fault the service and quality of the venue. A must visit for anyone in Sydney.

We had a very pleasant experience dining at the Opera Bar. We were promptly taken to our table and were offered the flexibility to move to another table in case we wanted to move closer to a heater. We could order our food either through an app or at the bar. Food arrived without too much of a wait. One of the items we ordered was a seafood platter which was a very generous amount of food. The location is great with one of the best views of the harbour bridge. The service was great. The only downside for us was that one of the guests has a shell fish allergy so he stayed away from the prawns but he still started to get an allergic reaction by the end of dinner. This could be from cross contamination and the only reason I state this in the review is so that if other guests have similar allergy, they can be mindful. All in all, we had a fabulous evening and would definitely return.

Great place to eat with a fantastic view. Staff is nice and very helpful (cheers to the French waiter), food was amazing and the order process through phone is really efficient. The only bad thing is that we can’t ask for specific requests when we order (e.g. vegan, no harissa)

Best customer service. All the staffs are very friendly. Price of drink is not that bad. Beautiful view and love music is a bonus. Drinking chilled beer and having such a fantastic view... we really loved it.
