Ochre Restaurant

Deb and I engaged Ochre ( Craig) to provide lunch for 23 Adults and 4 children in our back yard in Edge Hill. Just perfect. Everything on time , food was fantastic and the on site chef and the 2 beautiful girls who waited table served drinks and lots more. They were just marvellous. We had a wonderful evening Dining at Ochre Restaurant in Port Douglas. The service staff were lovely and the food delicious. When I booked online I mentioned were on holidays for our wedding anniversary. We were given a great seat over looking the harbour and when Dessert came out they has it on a plate with Happy Anniversary in Chocolate and a sparkler.. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

What an exceptional evening. Excellent service and even better gastronomic delights. I would happily recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone.

Omg. It's been a while we have not had much great service and food. The staff was excellent, so were the cocktails and dishes. Thank you to all waiters and kitchen team, we could not have had a better experience tonight!!

Calamari and pork belly entrees were amazing!! Likewise with the deconstructed banoffee dessert. Wasn't the biggest fan of the tempura bug main. A lot of batter, and if you don't like coriander, you'll want to avoid the paw paw salad that comes with it. It also had the same sauce as the calamari.. so kind of tasted similar. Would have been nicer on a big garden salad with different sauce and less batter. Staff were great!

This was not the first visit for us; nor will it be the last. Each time we visit this restaurant, we are not disappointed. Excellent service, food options abound; no matter what we have chosen, we have enjoyed everything. Our most recent visit was to celebrate my Mother's birthday (it was her third visit) and enjoyed her special treatment of having a sparkler included with her dessert. Many thanks to the staff and management. We will be back.

We really enjoyed everything about our night at Ochre Restaurant, the staff are friendly, the service is fast and the food is mouth watering. Compliments to all the staff you are amazing. Highly recommended 5 STARS

Beautiful dining experience on the waterfront. We had the tasting menu with matching wines and it was all delicious. Wines were A+. And very reasonably priced compared to similar quality in Melbourne! Definitely recommend a visit.

I am so glad a prompt to review this place came through after our visit, though I wouldn't have forgotten. We booked quite a while before we visited and had a great, easy experience communicating some allergies and birthday requests for my partner with Craig from the restaurant - exceptionally helpfully guy. Upon arriving the staff had all the information about the booking and everything was perfect - we were having the degustation with paired wines. It's not something either of us have ever done before so we didn't quite know what to expect. My eyes have been opened to a world of possibility around food and wine. The food, the wine, and the pairings were PERFECT. After this experience, I actually want to go and do a wine pairing class and learn how this secret science works. The staff were friendly, engaging, have us background on ever dish and bottle of wine, honestly the whole team at Ochre made it a really special experience for my partner and we couldn't have asked for anything better. Do not be that guy that visits Cairns and doesn't eat at Ochre. A+, 100%, I wish I could give more stars
