ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT style menu incorporating over 30 traditional Japanese dishes for only $34.80! Over 20 Locations in Melbourne.
147 Station Street 3078, Fairfield
Food was above average, really enjoyed the range of chicken and specifically the teriyaki. However service wasn't the best as we had to ask for water on 3 separate occasions and the order they brought our dishes in was uneven meaning when we ordered 2 of the same dishes we'd get them often 5-10 minutes apart.
Amazing all you can eat.
Came with friend to this place.I have to say very fresh sashimi. Food made by order. Acceptable timing of wait. Good atmosphere, over friendly staffs. Nice place to visit. Good for hangout with friends. Definitely recommend.
Delicious food, attentive service and decent selection for the $30 price tag. All you can eat, do it.
I can't comment on the food but this is one wierd establishment. I've passed the Okami in Footscray many times and wondered about the "all you can eat" claim so I was excited when this place appeared in Fairfield. I walked in by myself one night and was greeted like an unexpected leper. What did I want? I said "A table for one". There was much muttering and then another waitress who I assumed was higher in status asked me what I wanted. "A table for one", I by now sheepishly answered. "Over there" she pointed. I started toward the table and the first waitress looked at me and presumably, by way of explanation, said that they were newly opened and weren't ordinarily offering their a la cart menu tonight. By now i was wondering if I had wondered into a mad house or an episode of the twilight zone. I said "that's ok I'm happy with the all you can eat $30 meal. That was what I was planning to order anyway. She said "Oh no, sorry the all you can eat is only available for two". Stunned by this bit of Orwellian logic I sat down with my a la cart menu and after fifteen minutes of perusal, being ignored, and seeing that few people had any food and what I saw didn't excite me, I walked across the road to Matsuya and had a very nice Japanese meal there. One Day someone may enlighten me as to why an all you can eat meal can only be served for two but until then I'll stick with the devil I know. Now if only my wife liked Japanese food.......
