Northbeach Pavilion

My family and I lunched here on Sunday of the Queen's birthday long weekend. We drove down from Sydney after seeing the restaurant on Sydney Weekender The service was impeccable, friendly, fast and personal. Food was delicious. I had the gnocchi with the truffle sauce, absolutely divine!! Cocktails were also spot on and the Ugly Duckling doughnuts for dessert a must but need to share as it's a huge serving. A definite must place to dine in. We will be back.

Went down to Wollongong to get married in a small civil wedding out on the beach. We had a small group of 10, and a few weeks beforehand we were already looking for somewhere that was relatively close to where everyone was staying and where they served delicious food at reasonable prices. Northbeach checked all the right boxes, plus it was highly reviewed and highly ranked amongst local restaurants. Suffice it to say, the food is amazing - our guests loved it, we loved it and we all left satisfied. But, the reason why Im posting this is because of how they made such a great night even greater through top of the line customer service. I called a few days before the dinner to confirm, and spoke with Lorraine who over a series of emails and phonecalls really listened to us and restructured their party menu to fit what we wanted. She assisted us with the costing and made some personal touches with the menus itself to make it that more special. When we got there, everyone from the front of house to the floor staff where all-smiles and super helpful & attentive. Lorraine was there aswell to greet and sit us, and as she was on service stayed throughout the night checking in on us at the most opportune moments (like when we had mains come round and when the cake came out). When we left, she was the last to say goodbye and thanked us for choosing them to celebrate our small & intimate wedding. Lorraine and the rest of the Northbeach Pavilion team have left such an impression, that my wife & I fully intend on coming back to Wollongong just to eat there again Tl;Dr - Food is amazing, Customer Service even moreso * Order the Penne Isalberto (rich and super fancy truffle cream and butter sauce), Spaghetti Alla Scoglio (my mate couldn't believe how much seafood was in this that he ended up hoarding a bowl of mussells to himself) and La Tinterella (this is our favourite ❤) * Overlooks the beach, and at night its pretty damn magical if you ask me

Nice view and good food at a fair price. It's fine to insist that we check in at the door but in that case don't also ask us to check in online with the booking. The link that you send out that is said to be for changing or cancelling a booking in fact can only be used to cancel.

Food and location was great. Staffs were pleasant. And the dolphins put on a show that made our lunch extra special 😀

I have been here many times over the years and I’ve never had a bad experience! The food is to die for (truffle gnocchi is a must, I literally think about days after I’ve eaten it!). The staff are always lovely, attentive and helpful. A go to for a special event or a nice meal with wine. Cannot fault it!

Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by our host and shown to our table. Throughout the night our waitresses were all wonderful, the food was amazing followed up by beautiful desserts. I can not highly recommend northbeach pavilion enough. Each and every time I have been there with my family it has been a wonderful night. For a truly authentic Italian experience you can’t go past this restaurant. Thank you again

We had a lovely lunch at Northbeach Pavilion. First time in Wollongong and the team at the Pavilion didn't disappoint. In terms of places to sit down for a meal, the Pavilion is hard to beat being only a couple of meters off the beach with world class view! Friendly team, the woodfire pizzas were fabulous and very child friend and accommodating also. Thanks for having us!

The whole lunch experience, from the greeting right through to the end, was exceptional. The gnocchi just melted in your mouth, the tuna was perfectly cooked and the seafood platter was soft, fresh and tasty. Well done to the chefs and all the staff on making our engagement very special.

We had such a great experience at the Pavilion for our mid term 1 Staff night out. We had the $55 set menu and could not recommend it enough. We had 18 people, there was more than enough food for everyone and the food was delicious, excellent value for money. They catered for one guest at our table who is gluten free, she said the food was delicious and she was able to have all the same meals as the rest of us, just not pizza. The service was outstanding, we had a waitress attend the table for drink orders with prompt service, this meant no split bill at the end which made it so easy with so many of us. The management were excellent to deal with prior to the night, communicating in advance and meeting our needs.

For some reason our booking didn't work but we were welcomed in anyway. Lovely wine, bread, seafood, gnocci. Staff all did a great job and it is priced very reasonably.
