Nordie Café

Kitchen makes great food. Location and setting is also very nice. Waitresses need a bit more training. No cutlery or water provided or offered. When we asked for water we received a big bottle yet no glasses to drink from.

Great little cafe in Mornington and strategically located - they were overflowing the Saturday morning we visited them. The staff seemed a little overwhelmed and probably need to proactively let dine in customers(new non regular ones at least) to pick their own tables. Ordering is through an app but you do have to walk over to the counter to get cutlery and water. Our breakfast was fine, personally I felt the portion was a little smaller than usual but was delicious. Coffee was great as well!

Ive visited Nordie a few times of the past year. I have to say the coffee and chocolate brownies are delicious. The egg n bacon roll I ordered was a big size portion. I cant fault the staff they are all great! 5 stars all around.

Food was absolutely delicious and staff were really helpful and considerate. My only advice for them would be to update the ordering online system to allow for notes. I ordered a mocha that only had a "dairy-free ice cream" tickbox, and even though I ticked it, the mocha was made with full cream milk. I had to ask before drinking it and the staff remade it, but having a note system would prevent those things from happening. My family and I sat outside, and the decor was naturally beautiful. Took some awesome photos of their food and flowers! Toilets were clean and nice too ☺️ good mirror for selfies 😋

Id say the service was horrible however that would indicate there was service. Walked in and waited over 10mins, ended up just seating ourselves. Waited another period of time before my wife walked in and asked for menus. She was rudely asked to scan the code at the table. Ordered the food, no issues easy to use app. Had to go in multiple times to ask for simple things like napkins, salt and pepper and even cutlery to eat as food was brought out. Not sure how we were expected to eat? Using our hands? On one occasion when I went in to find out how long it takes to bring salt and pepper the lady was washing dishes! No apologies, nothing! Ruined our morning. There was a total of 5 tables in the restaurant - inside and out. (maybe at 20% capacity) so being inundated with customers can't be an excuse for the service that was provided. A simple smile, a hello and any sort of human interaction at minimum would be appreciated. Its a shame because the location is beautiful and the food is okay even if it is over priced.

Small boutique cafe I have been here a few times but never outside in their courtyard, I ordered the burger from the menu and I will put it up there as one of the best burgers I have ever had on one of the freshest buns. Definitely will be back, you should check it out for yourself.
