Mr. Wong

My friend did enjoy mr wong as a regular customer. However, the place could do better for the price they charge us, service was as expected, but the food was disappointing in comparison. Overall if the food can be improved, it is a great place for a catch up or special event.

Mr. Wong was an awesome experience. The atmosphere of the place was incredible and the service was great. Delicious and affordable, I would highly recommend for a lunch or dinner date.

If you are looking for Western style Chinese food, Mr.Wong is one of the very best in Sydney. Outstanding food and 1910s Shanghai Style atmosphere is amazing.

Got told to wait in line even though we have a booking prepaying 100 per head. 'everyone lines up the front door lady told me. So what is the point with the booking? Why should the booked diners wait in the same line as the walk ins? One of our favorite restaurant in town. Extremely disappointed to see this type of service.

Amazing food, enjoyed sitting at the bat watching the kitchen do it's thing. Waiters where amazing, didn't even really look at the menu, just trusted their judgement on food.

Mr Wongs is located in the old Tank nightclub. Which is such a trip because I used to party there. Love the extensive menu here, you could come here so many times and still not eat it all. This time we wanted something a little bit more low key so we did dumplings then splurged on the short rib. To. Die. For. Roasted Angus beef shortrib - “Shandong style”, soy, chilli & shallot dressing $54

Hands down the best restaurant in Sydney! Every dish is full of flavour and service is outstanding. AMAZING veg/vegan options too. Everything you ever want in a restaurant!

I loved it. Bit pricey but the dumplings were some of the best I have had. Especially the the lobster and caviar which was a special at the time. Wine list is about an inch thick, very pricey but the range is awesome. Sommelier was attentive but not overly pretentious and recommended excellent matches to dishes in all their price range. It’s typical Merivale. We got top service and was a great space to dine.

Such a great place for lunch; love everything here. Amazing interior and always great service. Highly recommended!
