This is a casual, relaxed and laid back little dumpling joint right in the heart of Toowong, on busy Sherwood Rd, just a few metres away from the shopping centre, which is just as well, if you need to use the toilets, because the toilets in this building are locked after hours (you may be able to get a key, but I didn’t check.) We pitched up on a quiet Thursday evening at around 6.30pm. There were only a handful of other diners. You can sit indoors or outdoors, but being a hot, muggy Queensland kind of night, we decided to sit outdoors on the terrace/deck and that worked out well. It was cool and comfortable and with only one or two other occupied tables, acoustics were excellent and we were easily able to converse. The furniture is basic, with wooden tables and wooden benches, but it’s functionable and you won’t get too fussed if you spill stuff on it (no white tablecloths!). Service was efficient, polite and friendly, and everything ran smoothly from beginning to end. Orders were promptly taken and the drinks and food came out quickly with minimum delay, just the way we like it. As the name suggests, dumplings are clearly the thing here, although there are other items on the menu like squid, small salads, lamb skewers, spring rolls, soups etc, but we decided to stick to what it was that we came here for and that was the steamed dumplings - and we were not disappointed. We ordered a mixture of them: chicken and asparagus, beef and celery and vegetarian. Salads were unfortunately not available, so we opted for a serving of steamed rice as our accompaniment. There were six dumplings to a serve, making 18 all up, but my wife and I had no trouble in finishing them all off. They were all fresh and tasty and prepared with love, care and attention to detail, with a soft as butter outer coating and well cooked, quality ingredients inside. It all went down a treat. All up, we paid a reasonable $33 for three serves of dumplings, a single serve of steamed rice and a single Tsing Tao beer. Can’t complain about that, given that our little Aussie peso doesn’t go very far these days. While it never got very full, a few more people arrived as the evening wore on and by the time we left, it was about half full, but this is obviously the kind of place you don’t need to bother booking ahead . Just arrive anytime you like and you’re sure to get a table. Having recently moved to Toowong, I’m sure that Miss Dumpling will be seeing us fairly regularly. It’s reasonably priced, casual and relaxed and with fast, efficient service to match.

A nice place for dumplings in Toowong. The best in the area. Skin is just right thickness and cooked perfectly. Tastes nice too. I'd like it to be tastier though. They have a good space for family and kids. Staff are nice.

The dumplings tasted just like any other dumpling places around which makes me think they might all come from the same origin. It’s good for a dumpling craving quick fix but I’m in no rush to come back.

The main fare appears to be fairly standard "Asian" style dumplings prepared steamed, pan fried or simmered in a stock. Had to ask for stand dipping sauces. Service was fast and courteous. Nothing bad but nothing memorable.

Excellent dumplings, and the service is so fun and friendly. Best of all there are vegetarian options on the menu! My date loved the pork buns, and pork and chives fried dumplings. I devoured steamed and fried vegetarian dumplings, then we shared delicious stir-fried grean beans. All the food was delicious, and my lychee iced tea was also stupidly tasty. Highly recommend to dumpling fans - these were the best we've had in a long time. We'll definitely come back to try more of the menu.
