Been coming here for years, real good for the price. I've eaten at plenty of decent Japanese restaurants in Melbourne including kisume but I reckon here is way better value for money.

Love love love! Great service - the staff are really on it and are so quick in service, very attentive. The food was good too, really loved the tataki as well as takoyaki. Good prices too. Definitely going back for more sushi :)

We ordered a deluxe for 2 and it was too much to finish! The quality of the produce was amazing, so much so that I would not be shy to bring my Japanese friends by next time. Service was also polite and attentive - thanks!

We have been going to Matsuya for over 12 years now, it’s a 45 minute drive for us but so worth it !!! Exceptionally fresh, always welcoming and really good prices Good idea to ring and make a reservation prior though as they are always busy 😊 Thanks June and Peter

Literally one of my favourite Japanese restaurants to go to! Food is always so delicious and also reasonably priced for japanese. Lunch menu is also great value! Definitely recommend getting the $99 boat and sharing with friends! Workers there are also lovely! Definitely recommend

I love this Japanese place. Food tastes amazing, super fresh seafood. Went for lunch and received complimentary miso, and a small fruit platter at the end of our meal. Great attention to detail is paid to every aspect. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Always tasty food. They have a good selection of vegetarian dishes, delicious tofu, Vegetable tempura is cooked in light batter? the barbecue prawns that my friends ate were very nice. I don't know what to say! apart from that make sure you book. The prices are very reasonable and I noticed that if you pay cash at this time of the year , they will give you a 10% discount , so bring your cash. A bonus Loved the food
