Delicious food. A must visit.

Free, do not need to pay, will not come again! Lined up for a long time, space is narrow, the food is not good, too much oil sauce, feeling eat oil candy! I thought I had so many people queuing will be delicious, just a waste of time.

Fantastic food , highly recommended ! The only problem is surcharge if customers would like to pay with card and not accepting Google pay!

Poor customer service.Had been there couple of times....We had very disappointing service this time.Ordered Roti canai...it was good,over crowded place. Probably its bit over rated restaurant hence they are not concerned about service...

I stumbled into Mamak just by sheer coincidence...briefly looked a at a few reviews on Yelp and decided to dine here. Yelp is not very prominent in Australia since its international operations were shut down, but still decided to give it a try. SCORE!! Deliciousness factor: Maxed!! Award winning restaurant...ahhh! That makes sense...lol Mamak is an award winning Malaysian restaurant, with branches in Sydney and Melbourne. Named after the roadside stalls of Kuala Lumpur that peddle Indian Malay street food, Mamak is renown for authentic, bold and traditional flavours, with smart and friendly service. (Stolen from the website - Useful information tho...) Mamak is an Australian Chain, and a popular one too... Right after we got a seat a big line formed outside, we got lucky. ~ Beef Satay - 4/5 Grilled over flaming charcoal for that authentic Malaysian flavour. Served with a sweet and spicy peanut sauce. - Simple, tasty meat skewers with a delicious dipping sauce. Hard to screw these up. I doubt a Malaysian restaurant would get these wrong... ~ Rojak - 5/5 A Malaysian-style salad. Prawn and coconut fritters, fried tofu, hard-boiled eggs, freshly shredded yambean and cucumber, topped with a thick spicy peanut sauce. - This was simply brilliant! Eye catching presentation...basically edible art; looks like something you get a very fancy or high end restaurant. ~ Kari ayam - 4/5 Classic chicken curry cooked with freshly ground spices and chunky potatoes. - Good flavor. Looks like it might be Indian, but yet the taste is somehow subtly different. ~ Murtabak (Lamb) - 3/5 A local favourite. Filled with spicy meat, cabbage, eggs and onions (Allow 15 mins). - So I completely disagree with this one...We did put the order in at the very beginning, seeing how it would take at least 15 minutes to prepare this dish. This was the most disappointing dish of the evening. Sounded good, but was lacking flavor and nothing really stood out about it. Felt like I was eating Lamb Omelet on a toast...just weird.

Best Nasi Lemak in town. Lamb or chicken curry with rice is very popular too. Roti canai with spicy sambol mix is recommended on sides.

Had dinner with friends. A short wait in a queue outside until a table was available. Quite reasonable prices, and all of the food tasted just fantastic.
