Shop 7 50 Macleay St Beside Fitzroy Gardens 2011, Sydney
I’ve found my favourite schnitzel in Sydney. I was sceptical when I arrived but was blown away by the portion size and overall delicious flavour. Just speaking about it I’m craving to go back!
Just the best! Love the lunch/dinner here but surprisingly their breakfast is amazing too. Such a great location, tucked into Potts Point. Never disappointed !
Excellent place, food was awesome and service was great, very kid friendly which makes sense as it's near a playground. Prices are also very reasonable for the city
Had a nice family dinner with all ages and good menu which suited everyone. Staff very helpful and lovely quite setting next to the park.
The schnitzel was a little thin and the potato rosti lacked flavour (required some salt and pepper). However the portions were generous, and the fried Camembert was delicious and well-complemented with cranberry sauce. The Carden’s Cider was also very refreshing with great taste.
The menu actually has quite a lot of choice on it, good food and drink. I went for the deep fried Camembert and the Berner Schnitzel, both of which were excellent. Reasonable beer choices, including 1L Stein beer glasses. The service was very quick, the staff are friendly, the bill was cheap. The only negative point was that the decor, music, ambience was not very teutonic. If this place was styled a bit more German/Austrian it would be even better than it is. I would still recommend off the back of the food alone.
They changed the decor T.T the chairs are not the cute ones in the photos anymore, but the food is nice.
Absolutely delicious food all round and good value. Great Schnitzels (the sauce was very tasty!) and great German beer on tap. The dessert menu looked amazing as well but we were so full after our main. We'll be back here soon!
Nice cozy spot, food is good (but not great) though you'll enjoy your time here. I might have just chosen the wrong meal on the wrong night, but the goulash was quite ordinary. The spaetzle and beer was pretty good though. Always lots of people seated and having a fun time. I'll try it out again.
This little eatery came through in a big way for our group last night. Logistics delayed our arrival til closing time and I feel sorry about that, but instead of ‘nein’ we were given swift and helpful service and full choice of food and drinks, with some wonderful beer options to celebrate our Oktoberfest cancellation consolation. Casual environment, unpretentious, reasonable prices and generous food portions. A winner.
