Wonderful food& service

On a voucher so the menu was limited. However, the menu is very broad so we didn't feel that we missed out. On a quiet Thursday lunch it was surprisingly occupied. We tried the Liu Rose flowers for entree ( first course) The batter was light and contents flavourful. The curry beef triangles were good too. Both of our mains were excellent Honey and Pepper Steak AND Hot and Spicy Chicken. We even had fortune cookies to finish.

This is an average Chinese restaurant mainly patronised by non Chinese diners. The servings are a little small given the prices. Service is fine. Overall not great but not too bad either, so check it out for yourself and make your own judgment.

Good food a bit pricey

We had a family lunch to celebrate my mother’s 89th Birthday. There were 17 of us. We enjoyed the Diamond Banquet which is excellent value. The food is varied and delicious. Service is amazing - courteous, gracious, unobtrusive. There were 3 birthday groups and the staff ensured we all enjoyed our meal, helped us with the cake and birthday greetings, cutting and serving the cake, taking group photos. They insisted on washing my cake platter for me. I was very impressed that the maître d’ asked me for my mother’s name so that he could personally greet and farewell her. Thank you Liu Rose.

My family and friends have all been going to Liu Rose for the last 20 years. My favorite dish was the salt and pepper crocodile. Yes it’s a bit pricey, yes it can get busy & noisy in there, and yes it’s westernized Chinese food, but we still love it used to go frequently. Unfortunately I have now moved out of the area and every Chinese restaurant I’ve tried in my new area is just horrible in comparison, so I miss my Liu Rose.

The service was top notch and the food was spot on. The chicken sesame though deep fried was not oily and heavy. Juicy and light and the sauce was wow! The sizzling beef was tender and well balanced with sweet and sour. The fish was delicious as well. Reasonable prices and decent portions.

I feel like I’ve been going to this place for my entire life. The foods great and the place is infamous by now, they probably don’t need my review!

Been going here for years. Food is great and nice ambiance. Great family place.
