Laneway Specialty Coffee

Service is perfect, coffees are excellent and the food... Fantastic! It's really hard to make a choice, so I will come back to try the rest of the menu. I came a second time and the juice of the day was incredible, the burger less because the meat was clearly overcooked. Next time I'll take an avocado on toast w/ poached egg or the quinoa bowl!

Best place in Darwin for food and coffee! Don't even bother to go anywhere else!

8 staff members were just lingering behind the espresso machine despite multiple eye contacts made. My espresso felt like the coffee extraction ran for 1 hour. And of course completely overpriced. Bacon (half of them was burnt) and egg with (a tiny portion of) mushroom and haloumi will set you back for $30+ (food only), of which you could afford a big brekkie AND better coffee at the coffee club franchise. And yes I’m speaking as a person with industry knowledge. Darwin people should reconsider where to spend their money for better value. Don’t just blindly follow the hype. And the shop owner should reconsider how to spend the money on staff as well. Apprently you spend not a small amount of money for their wage in return of this run down service.

Good, but not like the hype. Maybe I'm too much if a coffee snob. The coffee I got was bitter from being run through too long. And I was probably a bit put out before I got in the door because it's not in a laneway... It's more like a road. So it's name really should be 'on the corner of a roadway specialty coffee'. The food looked really good but we didn't eat. But they sell aeropress - so they get a point just for that.

Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Very busy at brunch on Sun but well worth the wait.
