Great right on the water

Great place for both lunch & breakfast. The breakfast range is large & the lunch menu even more so. Plenty of gluten free options (just make sure to note this preference to the friendly staff). The deck out the back is a great spot to eat, rain or sunshine, with a wonderful view of the water & bridge. We will be back!

We love a nice lunch with a great view at the Lake Cafe. We would highly recommend making a booking to avoid disappointment.

We sat on the deck, on a cool day. Close to the heater, it was quite comfy. I needed to order gluten free, and was pleased to find that was easy (pumpkin and chick pea curry, just the ticket). My companion had a pair of little savoury tarts, which he really enjoyed. We sat outside specially to keep an eye on the water. There was a lovely little grebe keeping us company. This cafe is attached to the tourist information Centre, which you really must visit. We were there a bit late in the afternoon, and other lunch venues in town were closing up, so it was good to see this lovely spot open.

Great service very friendly, food was great and the coffee was fantastic will be back to tackle the breakfast menu.

Nice location with plenty to offer but somehow misses the mark taking way too long to provide drinks or food in a reasonable timeframe. If you’ve got tonnes of time relax, if getting your order in a timely manner is your thing, give it a miss.

Food was fine but overpriced. I found the customer service very unfriendly; rude even. Not recommended.

Beautiful setting, great service, lovely food. Love this place.
