Eastlake Parade & Trevillian Quay, Kingston
Excellent
Cheapish and cheerfulish
Great Italian restaurant in Canberra. Lovely ambiance and good selection of pizza, pasta, mains, drinks and dessert. Ordered Margarita Pizza for my son and also Arancini balls (4) for entree which were very good. Mains were Veal Saltimboca which was very tasty and I really felt like a Fettucini Boscaiola which wasn't even on the menu but the chef made it for me anyway which was made to perfection. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food. Can highly recommend!
Grate food and fantastic location
Lovely service from the staff. However the food took far too long to reach the table (the place was booked out, however management should have rostered adequate staff) and for the price we expected more authentic food. Further the menu was far too long, reduce the menu and master a few items. If you like an American take on Italian food than this is the place for you, but its not quite Italian.
I went here for my birthday dinner and loved the ambience, the food and the service. The selection of food was authentic italian (at least to my untrained eye) and the selection of drinks was really good too. The prices were actually not too bad either though I felt the starters could have been a little more reasonably priced. All in all, loved the experience!
Wow! Best pasta I have had in a long, long time. I had the fettuccine with smoked salmon. Beautiful. Bustling and friendly place to eat. Great service.
Pizzas are excellent, the Bianca (Garlic pizza) is a must try. The pastas and mains that I have tried have all been delicious, the Medaglione Di Menza (Beef Tenderloins) in particular is a very good dish. The place can get pretty noisy if it is packed but otherwise the place has a good atmosphere, pricing is reasonable for the quality.
Came here on a Friday night, it was packed! The food is served in decent portions and the wait staff quite friendly. The flavours in the dishes were quite pronounced and really didn’t lack in any department. It can get quite loud at times which may or may not be bad thing. Definitely one of the best restaurants on the Kingston foreshore strip.
Overall, disappointing unfortunately. Pizza base was not crunchy, mains that friends had overcooked meat and undercooked veg. Service was friendly but not efficient and forgot things (had to ask for water several times). White wine was warm. Atmosphere was loud as there is nothing to absorb sound. Prices did not represent value for money although portions were generous. The term "lakefront" is not exactly accurate as there are no real lake views. I had high hopes after the positive reviews but unfortunately these have been dashed.
