Amazing local restaurant! The host was lovely & went through the set menu - the food was something else though! Home-style Italian food & the best gnocchi I’ve ever had! We will be back :)

If you haven't been to L'Artigiana, you are missing out. The food is superb -homely without any pretense. The set menu allows you to just sit back and relax with a glass of wine while the dishes keep coming. Josephine, the owner, is the consummate host. We spent over an hour chatting to her at the end of our meal over one or two limoncellos. Thanks Josephine! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful food, great host (kept us laughing), lovely supporting team. Love the concept, no thought process, all up to the chef - you just sit back and enjoy the spoils put in front of you. Sure all you ladies and men out there with the responsibility of attending to dinner each night would love to just sit, drink wine and have someone else take care of it all for you, I did. It literally is like visiting your nonna/mum/aunties house and they tell you to join them for dinner - good hearty home cooking. Put this place on your foodies bucket list.

I can not thank you enough Josephine. Your little restaurant brought back memories of nonnas house. The food served tonight was absolutely amazing. Reminds me of the saying it's this or nothing. Thank you so much for having us tonight, and taking the time to have a chat with us. I will definitely be back xo

It delights me immeasurably to give a 5 star review to a new local business - L'Artigiana on Derby St. We went for a celebratory meal and had a brilliant time. The concept of the restaurant is 'cucina povera' - peasant's cuisine - four courses from a set menu. The food was exquisite, the ambience wonderful; Josephine makes sure you enjoy yourselves. How good to have this restaurant in our vicinity.

This little place is a stand-out gem in an area not known for good places to eat. The business model is simplicity itself. There's no menu. You get what host and pasta maker, Josie, prepares on the day. You start with antipasto, follow with three different types of pasta, back that up with another dish--in our case it was meatballs in sugo--and finish with a small sweet. Everything is superbly fresh and made with genuine love and care. Josie is hard-working and super friendly; she really makes you feel at home. There's a small wine list that features at least one red and one white from Josie's family area of Abruzzo. One thing worth noting: Josie has been struggling to hire staff, so service can be a bit slow on busy nights. I'm sure that once she's properly staffed, the place will hum like clockwork. If you like authentic Italian home cooking, you have to try this place.

A small boutique restaurant offering authentic hand made meals from Abruzzo. The food was served so well that it felt just like being at Nonna's place for dinner. The 4 courses, including two hand made pasta's, delicious to the core, dessert which in my case was lemon semi freddo. The entree was an old favorite from my own family, stracciatella style chicken broth. You're missing out if you haven't been to L'Artigiana. The food is delicious and mouth-watering as is laid out in front of you. A small piece of Italy is at 46 derby street Pascoe Vale, and take my word, its worth every last dollar.

Delicious authentic Italian cuisine in a charming homely setting. Fresh home made pasta was the best I’ve ever had! Great service, especially from Pina who makes you really feel like part of the family. If you don’t have a Nona then head to L’artigiana for a great feed, if you do then give her the night off and take her out for dinner!
