MM2/1 Main Street 3128, Box Hill
Casual food court type place where you can order from a variety of shops/stalls. Don't expect 5 star service, do expect hot and tasty food coming out as soon as it's ready! I bring friends here and it's a favourite place to treat myself to a lunch if I'm shopping in the area. The soup dumplings are great, but my go-to order is the pork chilli oil wontons, the Taiwanese popcorn chicken and the Chinese cucumber salad, which comes to just over $20 and is heaps of food. Every time I tell myself that I'll show restraint and not eat it all, but it's so tasty I always do!
This is the place that I really recommended when people ask me about restaurant at Box hill , I love fried buns so much so yummy.
Close enough to authentic Taiwanese food. Always consistent with their food quality and quantity which is good! Serving size is generous for how much it is. Staff (friendliness and helpfulness) is average. Environment is retro Taiwanese street market, quite interesting, clean enough but not the cleanest of all. Overall consistent and satisfied, all the time. Only 4 stars as not the best...
After shopping at Box Hill Central we decided to drop in for lunch on a Saturday as we had the kids and the food court was busy. Kitchen Republik was reasonably busy but got a good table by the window. Plenty of choices on the menu for most tastes. After ordering drinks and meals they came out very quickly and the meals were quite tasty. Overall the family enjoyed the food and would be happy to come back.
Always love this place. The service was prompt, great authentic Taiwanese food selection and very reasonable prices. Highly recommended for Xiao long bao, Ay Chung flour-rice noodle oyster and pork intestine, Old Tong beef noodle. Less recommended oyster pancake and kung-pi chicken rice.
It's such a nice place β¨ I had stew beef noodle and pan fried pork bun. Both are beautiful and delicious! The restaurant itself is a bit confusing cause I notice guests receiving different menus and there were only 2 staff that serving and managing the whole place when I came there. Definitely will come back to try more dishes!
Good variety of Taiwanese food, better than some of the places I've eaten in Taiwan.
I love their large menu, there are so many different dishes to choose, always something that fill your appetite.
Very good Chinese with lots of varieties. Nice, relaxed atmosphere and good service. Kids love it too!
Quick, delicious, affordable and authentic Taiwanese food all around! I only wish they have this restaurant in the city.
