Katsu Japanese Cuisine Nicholls Takeaway

Probably the worst Japanese curry I have had in Canberra. Curry sauce was like water, not thick at all and barely any flavour. Nowhere near enough for the proton of rice. Only saving grace was the chicken cutlets which where nice and crispy. Won't buy from again.

So delicious, so good. The Chicken katsu curry is good, teriyaki sauce is the best Iv had. Highly recommend.

The staff are friendly and the food is very delicious and well presented. The agedashi tofu is quite good, as is the chicken katsu bento box. Generous portions and the chicken is crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. The takoyaki is also really tasty. Overall it's good value for money and I'll be coming back 😊

We ate in and everything was delicious! We stuck to the Japanese menu and stand outs were the chicken katsu burger, octopus balls, veg curry and the tofu pieces. It was all fresh, well priced and such a good feed that I wanted to tell you all about it, certainly worth a visit. Just check your temps, some of it came out super hot!

Quality Japanese cuisine has arrived in Nicholls! The food here is amazing, with a great range available for takeaway or for dining in. They have very delicious Japanese tapas options, Japanese-inspired burgers, several types of crumbed fish, sushi and sashimi, various rice-based donburi meals, chips with green seaweed flakes, and Japanese-type desserts, milkshakes and soft drinks (think green tea and black sesame puddings and mousses, lychee and green tea shakes, Calpis, Ramune, ocha...). And all in a newly-renovated shop in a quiet setting adjacent to the Nicholls IGA, with plenty of parking and a playground for the kids nearby. What a great addition to Nicholls and Gungahlin! :)

We visited the takeaway five times during our house hunting and settlement period. I have tried the lunch special burger package $15 worth every dollar spent. love their curry and the rice meals as well. Good to see a nice takeaway shop nearby my future house with walking distance. The lovely owners were very helpful and professional. Will recommend them to our friends as well.

Reasonable price and excellent food!

Rita and Jason do a great fish and chips. The chips are like the old fashioned chips, not the trendy fries. The spicy chicken dish is also great. I would strongly recommend a visit to Katsu.
