Delicious! Loved the salad bar and the meals were massive and delicious! Only advice I could give to the chef's is to calm down your vibe, take a moment to check you have cooked the steak correctly and the waiters know where that meal is going. Overall delicious experience

Perfectly cooked steak! Loved the choice of salads from the salad bar, especially the stir fry vegetables. Good selection of Tasmania whisky from the bar.

The main meals are all about $35-$60+, comes with all-you-can-eat side salad, which is good for people who can eat a lot 😆 The salad bar has plenty of options which is awesome! The steak was pretty good. You will need to pay $2.8 per person if you're bringing your own cake to celebrate for whatsoever reason. Service could slow down during peak hour, but the lady who served us was really friendly and nice. The restaurant is just right opposite Woolworths.

Whats not to love. From the moment you walk out the front you can smell the grill. Great cuts of meat. Salad bar is great. Beers are cold.

Bit pricey but a good place to eat Really enjoyed my meal The Jailhouse Grill is a well known restaurant in Launceston The Jail House Grill continues a 140 year tradition by offering fine food and beverage to locals and travellers alike. The building on Wellington St, Launceston was constructed in the mid 1800’s using handmade convict bricks from the local “brickfields” some 500 meters away. The design is typical of a Victorian Georgian Inn or Public House of the era. Proudly registered with the Tasmanian Heritage Council, the building where the Jail House Grill is, is regarded as important to the Launceston community’s sense of place. It was originally known as the Prince of Wales.

Ordered the 659gr rump blue. Steak was tasty and cooked as asked. Bacon and mushroom gravy was deep in flavour and delicious, staff were helpful and courteous.
