Jade Valley Restaurant

I love Jade Valley. This is our Chinese restaurant of choice. Family owned and run, they are more than happy to adapt the menu if you want something not on it. Their fried rice is yum, which is one of the telling signs of a good Chinese restaurant. Very happy to recommend.

This is our all time favourite restaurant. Food always delivered to your table deliciously hot. Every dish has a unique flavour. Moved out of Belgrave 6years ago and still come back to eat here when we want a delicious, reasonably priced meal. This restaurant has been in operation for at least 20years.

This is the worst place we could have gone for dinner on a Sunday!!! To start off with they gave us prawn crackers without chili paste and when we asked for it, they didn’t have it. Then we ordered sweet corn ‘Chicken’ soup, which had no chicken in it!!! which was so surprising!!! And because my husband and I like a little spice we asked for vinegar with green chillies or soy with red chillies, they said they didn’t keep any and the lady told us that we really didn’t need to add anything into the soup!!! Wow!! Like really? Then we said we’d take a special fried rice as a parcel as we were trying to have our soup and she turned and said oh but you need to have a minimum order of 20$!!! We already felt cheated of 10$ for a soup we didn’t finish!!! Being real foodies, we really would not recommend this place...

Restaurant usually looks very quiet but dont let that discourage you. Food is always top-notch and the owner is very friendly. A Belgrave institution.

Great food so nice worth a try

Ordered steak and vegetables and they gave me Satay steak. This is a very bad mistake for someone like myself who happens to have a nut allergy. I went back to not only pick up the correct meal but explain to them how serious of a problem it is giving someone with a peanut allergy satay. They didn't seem to care or understand the severity of it, even when I mentioned that I'm lucky I don't have a severe enough case of it to warrant going to the hospital but it has left me with a swollen and extremely sore throat. They didn't bother to offer any kind of compensation for their mistake. When I asked them about it they just said if your not happy with it call the police or don't come back. I told them it's not a police matter and that's not the way you should be treating loyal customers of over 10 years if you want to keep them as customers. They said "we've been here for 16 years, it doesn't matter!" Wow. I can safely say they have lost my business.

We've had meals from this restaurant for many years, and they are always great. A highly regarded Belgrave institution .
